1.2 Kappa is not as fuel efficient as the iRDE. I have been hearing figures in the range of 11-12 only. So around 10 for an automatic sounds about fine.

thanks everyone for the comments, hyundai says to keep the front tyre pressure as 35 and rear 33, the stock tyre from them is 155.80.13 and now i have 175.70.13 and all 4 tyres i keep pressure of 30. so i guess this is reason i have not been getting good mileage right ? should i move to 33 in all tyres is it safe ? going for a tankfull today please advise

What I would do is to first set exactly what Hyundai has recommended for the front and rear tires irrespective of the upgrade, fill a tankful and check mileage. I'm sure you will get a better fuel mileage than the present, assuming all other factors remain the same.

As a next step, to decide whether that is the optimum pressure, I would email my tire manufacturer and present my case. I would ask them to recommend pressures to me considering the car and the upgraded tire size. That answer should help you settle at your final values!

ok 2500 kms done on the car. the mileage is around 9 or 10 max. the tyres are kept at 33psi now instead of the 30 psi i kept for 2 months. the mileage did go up. planning to put 35psi for one tank and try that too. hyundai reckons 35 in front and 33 in the back. i love the car, the sunroof rules.

finally the mileage has gone up. crossed around 2600kms. psi kept on 33 itself. am glad i got the sunroof version since it is used everyday. any tips as to how to clean the same, some dust covering done in 3 months now...

Good pointer, ill maintain 33 psi too. I have the same tyre config.

yea i tried 30psi for 2 months then went to 33psi since company claims keep 35psi on stock ones. you kept 30 and got how much mileage ?

I checked the mileage this morning, got 6.45kmpl approx. But i got air filled upto 33psi today so i hope it improves.

Filled up 28 PSI of nitrogen gas as per the guy who fitted my alloys and tyres. Getting a FE of around 10-11 KMPL. When I asked him "Don't I need to fill 33 PSI according to the Hyundai Owner's manual" for which he replied "Since this is nitrogen, 28 is enough". Seems there is no single PSI for i10 :eek:

Is there a difference between ordinary air you fill up at the petrol bunks and the nitrogen one? How often do we need to fill ordinary air/nitrogen?

wow, are u serious ? 28 on nitrogen. i think thats way too less ? what is your profile of tyre, and car is auto box ?

Rubber profile is 175/70/R13 and yes the car is an auto box.

aright. ive not driven the car more than 3000 kms in 6 months. this weekend shall tank up and drive around. for some reason these first kms seem really heavy on the wallet lol

what are the mods one can do on this car ? i dont mind a K&N filter at this point of time. fuel mileage at around 8 right now. how do you guys fill up. full tank or 1500 bucks. i fill up 1500 bucks thats around 33.67 kms and it rides for 300 kms odd. someltimes lesser too.....

Noticed a non critical bug in the Asta AT ECU firmware. The airbag and the seatbelt lights blink and go off last when the car is started. What I noticed is that if you forget to put seatbelt at begining, the seatbelt light does not continue blinking after the self test. If you now put on and remove the seatbelt, the seatbelt light comes on. So at start, it forgets to check the seatbelt switch as part of the self test.
Did anyone else observe this.
