Finally got me a Ford Fiesta 1.6S! :) EDIT: Pics added

Hey All! I am a new here at Team BHP, so first a brief introduction.

Name: Anuj
Age: 28
Cars owned current/ past: Palio 1.2 ELX, Baleno LXI, Swift LXI, Fiesta 1.6S
Profession: Some job (doesn’t matter really)
Interests: Total petrol-head. Big fan of Jeremy Clarkson and Tiff Needell

Had been visiting Team Bhp for along time, but became a member just now. Well just wanted to share with everyone that I got me a Fiesta 1.6S and would like to thank everyone here for sharing their experiences on the Fiesta and ANHC as I was really confused between them. Here’s how the story goes:

Someone I knew mentioned that Ford was giving huge discounts etc. so I got curious enough to go to the showroom. The moment I drove up I saw a Fiesta 1.6S Aquarius, and at some level I knew it was meant to be. Took the test drive and fell in love with it. Test drove the ANHC after 2 hours (Wanted to compare the 2, so timed the Test drives close). The choice was simple:

The Honda engine may have 116-118 bhp on paper, but I have seen the power delivery curve and most of it is at higher revs and the engine does not like to be pushed too much. The Fiesta engine is a gem! Power delivery is linear and I haven’t seen a more rev happy engine. In-fact its hard not to hit 3000 rpm and above

ANHC handles decently, but the Fiesta takes it to a new level. Especially the 1.6S with the slightly stiffer suspension. The 195/55 R15s do their job well and look good while doing it.

At 7.05 Lakh (all inclusive on-road in gurgaon. The 1.6s comes fully loaded, minus leather seats) I think this car is awesome VFM too (although that’s not the reason why I bought it). Got the Aquarius!

Thank you all Team-bhp people for sharing their experiences with both these cars. Really helped me in my decision.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone (Especially Fiesta owners). Watch out for a detailed test drive soon.

Cheers!
Anuj.

Ps: Its nice to be part of a community that is passionate about automobiles. Normally when I start discussing BHP, torque, limited slip diff etc. my regular friends look at me like im a zombie . Now I can talk to people who understand my lingo….FINALLY!

Anuj, quite an apt choice you made, specially considering your choice of vehicles.
I'm sure you would relish the experience with the Fiesta 1.6S.

Do post some pics on this thread. We all would love to see your car.

Looks like an Impreza WRX doesnt it?!

Guys, sorry couldnt respond to your messages. Didnt get an opporunity to drive it on weekdays. Am not taking it to work as the parking guys in my area are very careless (I wanna use some nice words to describe em, but keeping in mind the moderators language policy...am restraining). Also, dont knw..with the current economic downturn and all, how it'll be seen by people. Most wont be too please for sure. But thats another topic all together.

Anyways, use my bros phone cam N 82 to take some pics. More coming up shortly....

Also, found a scratch on the rear bumper. dont knw how it got there. Probably didnt notice it during PDI (took delivery late evenin, so was dark). Anyways at some sick level I am glad that the first scratch has happened and is now out of the way. Can drive the car much more relaxed now

Drove the 1.6S yesterday and its a great handler.
Wont compare it to the vRs because they are a segment different, but the handling is best in class and the power delivery is amazing.

Congrats on the excellent purchase.
Nice colour choice.

Enjoy.
