Allegedly the best 4x4xFar...

...but its a dawg on level ground!

It has the aerodynamics of a supertanker flying in reverse.

It has an antique fuel guzzling V8 from the 90s.

Its been around for a few decades - without any significant 'improvements'.

It has 2 seats inside a noisy cabin.

It has a keyhole on the LEFT side of the steering wheel.

It has a handbrake lever that practically sits inside your trouser leg.

It has window winders (yes, manual) that are placed at approximately the same place as the Ford Ikon's power window switches - at your feet.

B U T

It will allegedly go anywhere, and somebody here said it might even climb walls.

And (this is where the family kicks me out of the house!) its mine

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Vid

Your signature would be very true for this one - 10 minutes for the quarter mile is about there.

EDIT: Finney will be coming along soon to punish you for that Fiat remark. Dont use that 4-letter word!!!

Lol. Also, when Steer says Landy, one will now get even more confused whether it is the landmaster or the landrover that he is talking about. BTW, where has the consensus reached on the Landy\Lando names?

Thanks to the recession, redhorn, thanks to the recession. The number of vehicles that are on distress sale is not a joke. I got mine for a song (comparatively) because the chap is leaving the country next week. The price was too good for the vehicle - I was not in the market for one.

The Interiors are neat, Steeriod, BTW, would you mind mentioning the magic figure or do you rather PM me about it?

Congrats and Merry Christmas, Santa seems to be doing you favors inspite of the recession!

Wowowowowow!! What a beautiful Defender. Lucky you, Steer...lucky you. What year is it? How many miles on the odo? More importantly, when are ya engaging that magic 4x4 lever? Believe you me, SWB 4x4s are a class apart. The beauty of these vehicles is in their simplicity & ability to work. And then work some more.

The Defender has mind-boggling axle articulation. This is a damn mountain goat in the truest sense. And I suggest (if you are going to keep her for long), better start customising her. There is just so much after-market support for the Defender.

If & when you move back to India, make sure you get all these beauties along. You now have amongst the best garages on Team-BHP. Congrats again! I look forward to some meaty off-roading pictures from you.

Tell me about it. A friend bought a $50,000 Ford Expedition for $28,000 in the States only recently.
