Purchased new Chevy Spark

Hi Friends

I just bought a new chevy spark ps in the new red metallic colour 2009 model for my dad.I must say the car offers terrific value for money.

The deal i got is as follows:

Corporate/govt. employee offer-Rs.4000/
Bought metallic colour at the price of non-metallic colour-Rs.4000/-
Mud flaps
Floor mats
Side strips on the door(the one on LT model)
Lhs outside rear view mirror

So the e-x showroom price i payed is Rs.287000/ instead of Rs.295000/

now the on road price will be:
Insurance-Rs.6300/- offered by old agent where as the showroom guy was quoting Rs.7500/-
And the Registration cost will be roughly around Rs.7500/

So the total will be Rs.300800/-(on-road)

Tomorrow will go in for change of tyres from Apollo to Michelin XM1 which will cost Rs.3000/- to Rs. 3500/ and later on will get central locking and music system. Will post the pictures tomorrow 'cos got the car was delivered at 8:30 in the evening.

Rgds

Congrats Braveheart 77.

I have been think of buying a Spark myself, becasue last Dec when there was a small show in Kolkata, where all manifactures where there with their cars, after I sat in all the small cars, I felt the Spark to be the most spacious, now I'm 6 ft and on the positive side of 100 kg's, but this small car still was not to cramped for me, compared to others, the only other car than was roomy enough was the Fabia, but that is at another price bracket altogether.

There only thing I found a little starnge was the pedals on the fllow, I can't remember which but 2 pedals are placed pretty close to each other, and I suppose if I can remember right the indicators are also on the left hand side, unlike the maruti's.

All in all, I too think the spark is very good VFM, the only problem I feel is GM in the whole equation, if there *** becomes good and comparable to others, then they sure have winners with them.

Congrats and welcome to the Chevy family!
Enjoy the silent drive and don't forget to buckle your seat belt.
How was the GM dealership and their service/help in buying the car?

Thank you all for the wishes. As far as GM/Chevy dealership is concerned they are not much professionals but we as TEAM BHP memebers are more smart than them so I think I was able to get a good deal from these guys.
The car is spacious and small from outside so it's good for driving in the city.

Congratulations on the new car Braveheart. You really seem to have gotten a sweet deal. The Spark at that price is very tempting indeed. Its a lovely car for driving around in the city and I hope your dad will enjoy the red beauty.

No sun film or seat covers? Which music system are you opting for?

Do post some photos and some detailed reviews once shes done some kms.

Great buy and excellent VFM.

does that include the 3-year free service warranty or do you need to pay extra for it?

Congrats braveheart

thats a total VFM car you have bought.

And i dunno about highway but it drives very well in city.
the other day i was driving a bit faster in delhi and only other car that came close was a chevy spark.

then i realized that pickup and handling is good for city,i like santro in small cars but ride quality/handling is not gud.now i have started liking spark

Injoy the ride.

Congratulations are due to you braveheart_77. Wish you and your dad many miles of safe motoring.

Can you go in for the 3 year warranty now? If you can please think about it, it may be worth the peace of mind.
