@hillram: thanks, yes, its the stock color.

@funkykar: check out in cartradeindia.com , there are two cars, one diesel 1988 model from hassan, another 1996 1.8Gl from hyd and this is really a gud condition.
also, there are two cars with a dealer in shivajinagar gujari who brought it from auction on sept month, he quotes 35-40k plus extra 20k for documentation as tax needs to be paid.

It has almost been 11 months and the car has been made mechanically fit and its runs like a dream.
Did a patiala up down and its easily did 130+( did have confident to push "minni" more) it even give a corolla a very good chase

Things done

1 all oils were changed and proper tune up was done
2 new oem fuel pump was fitted
3 tires were replaced with the correct size ones
4 battery was changed to a Bosch 65amp one
5 lights were changed to double barrel ones
6 all the electrical system were checked and new oem fuse box installed
7 the interiors was stripped and cleaned and rusting problem was stop to some extent
8 new rear view mirrors

Got a JVC dvd player and alpine speaker and alpine (fake) amp and sony 12" sub. will be putting a dash mounted screen soon

Things to be done

getting new mahinder xylo rims (already test fitted and works great)

full body painting(need colour suggesting and replacing front floor boards)

and 15" yoko a drives 205 60 r15

i also choose the purple which was available on the civic but the Chandigarh RTO is not letting me change the color of the car so i now have to play with some shade of white have decide off white the one available on the corolla but without the metallic part ( in Chandigarh metallic part also has to registered on the RC)

Oh thats very weird thing, that color change is not allowed. White looks good and the shade you chose is reliable and safe shade for the car. Do keep us posted as the work progress.
