Hey heres a question, how often do you guys check on your oil? I did today and my oils practically black. Change needed?

Also, theres this slight whistling sound at low speeds.

zahir how much has she done till now? when was oil changed last?
company recommends oil change at 10k but many of us (includes me) here change it at 5k only.

engine oil in diesel motors looks black after a little running only. it has something to do with the carbon formation during combustion. so its fine if it hasn't done a lot of kms.

its about 3200 done. Will change it at 5000k. Hey any idea what that whistling/creaking noise of the suspension is at really low speeds? or is it just a maruti issue...?

Any tips on cleaning the KnN air filter?

yeah i guess I'm gonna ignore it and take care of it straight at my 2nd service.... i guess i din't just buy a car, i bought a maruti.... a new surprise every day! haha

Btw, I wanna get myself a good set of alloys.... I was always inclined towards matte silver but have been seriously thinking white alloys, they look awesome. Anyone know which brands are good keeping my existing tyre size?

Ok also, should I consider a tyre upgrade? I'm really happy with my 185/70s 14" but have been told to consider 15" wheels. With my terrains travel, I dont know whether thats a good option....

btw, what tyre pressure do you guys maintain?

yeah but I just bought my pirellis and paid a good amount for them and since I am happy with the performance was wondering if there is any major difference that would make me go in for 15"

Looks like you didn't do the research on the tyre upsize before buying the car :P

Anyways 15" will give you a decent look but harsher ride quality. Also with 15" the recommended tyre up size is 195/60.

if you plan to upgrade to 15" you can talk to your tyre dealer maybe he can help you with the buy back thing.

ride compare to 185/70 will be slight harsh but you feel a good difference in handling/grip.

zahir man if you have already upgraded your rubber why buy another set of 15" tires. if you are satisfied with 14" then get rims in the same size.
had you been on stock tires then i would have suggested upgrade to 15 but you have already invested in nice rubber. just being a lil sensible.
