Yes it is covered in leather, these guys (Karlsson) took care of it without me having to even mention about it.

It hurts me just as much bro (being a member of the Linea Owners Club), sorry for the heartburn. But hey, those who were holding on for the color should know about this and buy the beauty!

20K Km update

Clocked 20000 kms yesterday. Must say as the kms are piling up the car is getting smoother, distinctively it returns an average FE of 16~17 without being too cautious with the accelerator peddal. With a target of 100,000 kms in 36 months before disposal of this car i think it should painlessly sail through.
Creaking and squeaking sounds are now regularly audible from a few 'black holes', will have to wait for another 10000 kms for the next service to get them ironed out. Only grudge i have against FIAL is the lack of availability of any original Fiat accessories like in Europe, would really like to put some cosmetic make up on her...

Mods, kindly change the topic heading to "Linea, My quenched desire. EDIT : 20,000 kms update!"

That's a lot if vehicle exploitation luky. Totally agree on the accessory part. Seeing the UK site makes me drool for those nice accessories. Hope Fiat can get the similar customisation to India as well.

45000 Kms, 4th Service update.

My italian workhorse just came back from 4th Service, having clocked 45K Kms. All issues raised were successfully resolved, now the car is sheer butter. In the list of regular's were :
  1. Engine oil, 3.2 ltr - 1833.00
  2. Fuel Filter - 1753.00
  3. Oil Filter - 327.00
  4. Air Filter - 290.00
  5. Front disc brake pads - 2159.00
  6. Clutch kit (replaced free, under warranty - 7000.00)
  7. Wheel alignment - 300.00
  8. Plus other minor expenses, labour and paid service - balance
Total cost of 4th Service=9827.00

The front headlamp assembly has started to turn a very light brown from inside. Meaning its technically not a clear headlamp anymore. The service guys @ concorde said this is normal post 12 months, has any one else faced a similar problem? Any solutions, how does one clean up the inside of this sealed headlamp cluster. To be honest i really like this subtle shade of the cluster, only if it were consistently spread. The tires are screaming replacement, i have decided to go for Michelin's owing to some good reviews on Team-bhp. Apart from that no major issues. I'm taking a test drive of T-jet this coming week, lets see if that creates any sparkles in my head.

On the accessory front, FIAT still disappoints big time. They don't have any FIAT accessories, so sad. Even if they directly imported these from europe it would make sense. This is one dept. they need to concentrate, look at Honda the kind of accessory spread they have is just amazing. One pays a packet for those but then atleast its available.

Mods - please edit the title of the thread to reflect this '45K update'

So far, my Linea is free from this discolouration. However, some Linea owners faced the same issue. Fiat authorised service centre guys responded in the same casual way. But, they took up the matter with Fiat India directly and were successful in getting the headlamp assembly replaced FOC under warranty as directed by Fiat India. So, please correspond with Fiat India directly.

Luky, I think your's is the car with the highest odo reading on TeamBhp I believe.

Do keep munching many more miles. Do test drive T-jet and keep us dated with the sparks that might just happen.
