Sunlight copper Swift DDiS : Delivered!!

guyzzz...

finally iv booked myself a sunlight copper swift DDiS LDi at navnit motors, thane.
initially i was going to book the vehicle in silver colour at fortpoint, but i had last minute differences with the sales guy.

initially i was planning to buy a used DDis but all the vehicles that i t.d were either accident damaged or with a non-maintained engine or with their odometers tampered.finally after 10 days of frustration and being car-less i finally decided to go for a new car.

i was atended by the team leader mr sandeep who was very co-operative.
there were many deliveries and bookings taking place on account of this auspicious day.
the place was crowded but every one was managed well and attended to promptly.

the entire booking process took just around 30 mins.
iv got mud flaps, floor mats, dicky mat, perfume and steering cover as free accessories.
sun light copper was readily available.wifey loved the colour as well ..
delivery has been promised in the next 10-12 days.
planning to visit the stockyard and check out the vehicle tomorrow.

will keep you guys updated

Congrats ShantyRocks!

Surprising that the DDiS is not available in short notice and that they are giving freebies with it.

Do make sure to take the PDI list from T-BHP.

Wishing you a pleasant buying experience.

Hi Shantyrocks,

Congrats on booking the Swift DDIS.If the car is readily available, why are they taking 12 days to deliver it? Or is it that you want it delivered later for some auspicious reason?

As Happywheels mentioned, do take a print out of the Team-BHP PDI. It helps a lot.

@shantyrocks: congrats on the booking. Keep us updated with the delivery process.

Good that you decided not to go ahead with the 50K used LDi, not worth the hassle.

maan...i had to actually demand the freebies.had to tell them about fortpoint giving me all this and that.

have the pdi check list ready with me.had taken it along when we took delivery for my sisters NHC

there is still a waiting period for swift VDI.not a single one was readily available.i guess people prefer vdi but iv compromised in order to buy a new car.

Good decision. As long as finances allow and you are intending to keep the car for a long time, a fresh buy makes more sense, unless you can buy a known second hand car.

The accessories the dealers throw in actually cost them nothing, it is factored into the miscellaneous charges all the time. Remember that there is no free lunch? Only that, in case of huge customer demand for cars like the DdiS, the dealers eat up that money as well and make the customer pay. It is all demand supply at work.

Shantyrocks congratulations -its a lovely car. I simply love the 1.3 MJD.You will have a wonderful time with the new car. And the freebies-you must be a tough negotiator as these sales guys lock their freebie doles when Swift and DZire (DIESEL) customers appear.Do post pictures. The LDi is quite a practical car and a budget buy. Its the best of all worlds.

I love that colour!

I wanted that colour!

Seeing as how I chose the car, my wife picked the colour, and she picked grey.

Well done! Good choice

thanx a lot guys..

had been to the stock yard yesterday.
but my badluck.
couldnt get to see the car alloted to me.
the sales guy said that it must be present in one of the 4-5 stockyards that they own.
but got to see another Ldi and i was pleased to see that they are giving left side ORVM too and better seat covers than the earlier ones.

Congrats Shanty!! you made a practical choice as Vdi has long waiting periods.

ABS is not optional in Ldi right?

thanx dude!

the only reason to go for Ldi was a tight budget.
VDi was available readily in ozone blue colour.
there is no option for a Ldi ABS.

guyzz..

i wish to blacken the A-pillars and B-pillars immediately after i take delivery.
is it advisable to get it done at the dealer itself or at any other paint and accessories shop?
is it advisable to paint them or is it better to go for black stickers?
also, should i go for teflon and anti rust treatment?

Black stickers are better as the paint will have a 'shine' to it, the same would be cheaper and probably better done at the outside.

Anti-rust ok

Teflon has a few 'issues' like once applied small scratches cannot be buffed with a rubbing compound as the same will cause removal of the coating also.

Also some members have reported of cracks on the roof on car parked for extended periods in the sun.
