Hey, nice to know that the car fitted in your garage to your liking. Seems you too will become a "Linean" soon

Regarding advertisements, a member here visited FIAT factory and he was told marketing and advertisement is with Tatamotors so they cant do much.
Linea is like that only, once you stop admiring exteriors and enter interiors you become a convert from car A.

Tata have stopped all advertisements for Linea, they should learn from FORD how their daily ad campaigns skyrocketed Fiesta sales.

Thats a first for me, havent seen the ad till now. Which channel was it being aired on? Good that Tata is making some effort at Navratra time.
EDIT: Just checked Fiat Linea website, It has been nicely revamped. Saw the AD snapshot but neither could i view it nor could i download it.

yes, the ad comes in many different categories of channels.

Also the newpaper ad has started talking about B&M & other features rather than only looks earlier. There was a half page ad in TOI Zigwheels supplement this week

I have seen the ad. The audience target seems to have been changed from a 30+ something responsible father to a kid who influences family decisions. I would say they need to focus more on corporate types looking for VFM.

Yes, Tata would advertise more of Indigo's & Vista's and why bother about Linea. This step-motherly treatment was expected. Just as I anticipated.

Sorry if its a stupid query but, I thought Fiat and TATA had agreed on sharing only the production and service infrastructure and that the decisions on ad campaigns are taken independently. Or am I missing something?

There is a Punto ad in TOI Mumbai Edition last page yday i.e. 19th sep Sat. Black Punto pic was shown, looks smashing

More importantly the punch line of the ad talks about Service Intervals of 15K. Very very apt. This is the theme on A.S.S. Fiat should hammer now since word of mouth on FE is being good.

Yes, I feel the ghost of "bad Mileage" has been put to rest. Now they need to advertise about cheap spares and long service intervals. My colleague was quite surprised when I told him : I will send my car once a year for service compared to your maruti going in thrice.

well thats an added advantage of owning a Linea or punto. Acc to my estimates the 15k service wont cost anything over 3000rs. If i give 3000rs as service cost for 15000 kms i am in a win win situation here as my cost of ownership is less compared to others.

Instead of focussing on looks now, Fiat should gives ads about low spare prices (150 rs ORVM glass cheaper than a Sx4 which costs 300) and 15k service intervals.
My Unlce bought a NHC 2 months before me and whenever sees my Linea says that why i didnt even visit the showroom. Wonder what he will say when he drives the car on a highway

Turtle Super Hard Shell Liquid Wax

Last 2 months, I haven't done the waxing on my Linea. I got a Turtle Super Hard Shell Liquid Wax 2 months back & decided to use it today. It took me 2.5 hours but the results are much much better than Formula 1 Carnauba wax I am using.

Let the pics do the talking. First few pics show difference in shining of the area which is waxed v/s the area which is not waxed yet.

The Hood.. Lower portion is waxed, the upper one is not waxed. See the difference.

A-Pillar is waxed. The Front fender, Bonnet, ORVM, front door are not waxed. Check the Difference.

Rear fendor is waxed. The boot top is not waxed.

Bumper not waxed.

Bumper not waxed. Can the bumper also be waxed? As the difference is quite obvious.

I think it was Rs. 240 - 250 and it seems it'll last 8-10 applications (almost a year).
