And is it just me or is there something a little warped about that outer circular rim?

It's rust for sure. the angle of the camera and the inward lip of the alloy makes it look warped. It's fine in reality.

What about the black eye ?

That was a pun intended on the black coloured "i"10...

Any news on FE boss?

FE sucked the first full tank. I got 5.95. Now going by the odo and needle on the gauge, it looks to be improving. Will put in fuel once it gets to half tank. Dad hardly uses the car for 5-6kms daily.

On a spanking new car, ji?
Exactly what's worrying me. Could you check on your car and let me know?

Congrats Tejas. Enjoy the Sunroof :D

Tejas, the car really looks hot with the black theme. Congratulations for choosing such a hotiee for your father.

No issues with the beige reflection though. i don't know why everyone was making such a big deal with it.

The reflection is not only an issue with beige dash, but also with any glossy dash. It all depends on the angle at which the light falls on the dash board. Imagine, you are on the high way, driving for more than 1 hour in the summer afternoon. World around you is very very bright AND also dash reflects the rays to your eyes. Man does it hurt? For sure it hurts unless you have good dark sun film all around and a nice pair of sun glasses.

I feel amused when I see lot of bright colored objects stacked/decorated in the das. At least, I am not okay with such a setup. Lesser the reflection, better the visibility and lesser the fatigue.

Ya right (no sarc-hasm lost)!!! Used it 4 times in total. First to check if it works. Then once to show family and once for a neighbour's kid. However, the sunroof came in handy once when i was reversing and there was a very low tree branch and the antenna would have gotten snagged into it(stupid non-retractible antenna). However, i simply opened the sunroof and held the antenna down and safely maneuvered through!!!

Indeed, what fantastic purpose for the Sunroof! I can see many such applications for, like reaching high objects (like something stuck in the trees or so!)...
On a more serious note, Do update your FE figures, a friend of mine is considering the i10 Sports. He is undecided about the transmission.

Tejas don't worry about the rust build up. As others have said that component is made out of cast iron and the layer of rust formed on it is just normal. Happens to other cars with cast iron rotors. If the rust is really getting to you than what you can do is to paint the hub leaving the part that pads bite on. But this is not a one off rusting problem that happened only to your car. When you go for servicing your i10 you can see if other i10 have rusted hubs or not.

i am keen to know your mileage of the car. i am getting 300kms out of a full tank. normal driving. the sunroof is nice . i use it like 3 times a day. in the nights gf and her friends like popping out of it.

Driving the i10 has been fun. No doubt.

One thing that did bother me was that there is no display of the auto mode on the speedo console. All other cars that i have driven have a center display showing park, reverse, neutral, drive, D1 & D2. However, nothing in this. Find it very weird.

That is unusual, but in my opinion, does not matter after a few days when you get the feel of it. I do not even look at the display on the speedo console in my Corolla AT. It will not affect your shifts or driving in any way after a few days.

Agreed. I have been driving ATs since a long time and do not need the indicator. However, i thing this is a big oversight on their part. It is specially helpful for new AT drivers.

nice pictures black is looking really good with the mods
