They could have bought it!
Its super cheap and the Japs could atleast afford one nano!
They can see, test, dismantle and re assemble at their shopfloor.
I guess recession has got everybody. Cheap alternative - > go to competitor showroom and take snaps.

There used to be a standard stunt/advertisement for Bajaj Scooters in 80s.

For every new model, dealers would organize a "show" where a scooter would tow a car for some distance. Next day it would find its place in local newspapers.

So, we might soon see a Nano pulling a SUV in adverts

TATA Nano spotted in Show Room

On 16th May I went to R D Motors, Baguihati, Kolkata to book my CS LS TDI, I spotted thiss Nano resting for display, I found it very similar look with Spark. Good ground clearance, good height - these points I noticed.

Actually I was not sure that I was allowed to take photos, next time I visit there, I will get ( and update ) a couple of more photos of both interiors and exteriors.

Good one, Prince Pervez! Ironically, there are a few Nanos being seen around Kolkata, all driven by eager first timer families. Dunno whether they will be taken off the road, now that the election results are out!

Saw a cream coloured one being TDed inside Salt Lake the other day. My wife said it looked like a little insect scampering away from the other big cars!

@Arun.m - Dude, glad to find a new member from Kolkata. Why dont you post an intro? Feel free to get in touch with me or any member of the Kolkata crowd.

I know it is part of cost cutting, but why don't they make rear seat fixed ( with no fold down option, it eliminates some hinges and joints) and give a hatch that opens. I guess it will cost same or slightly higher.

An openable hatch will always be more expensive than a folding seat. However, the later versions will come with an openable rear glass like the first generation Maruti 800.

I have booked three of them.Hope the investment is worthwhile.

This rear glass open option should give good ventilation in hot summer (on Non AC Nano)

Hey guys here are some pics of the nano from my side.

We were returning from Burhanpur (MP) to visakhapatnam and on the way we lost PS of my Tata Sierra. We found this Tata dealer at nizamabad, they had a nano on display. They couldn`t fix our car but we checked out the nano instead. Could click more pics since i was too exited about the car and forgot that i should click.

in the pic i am the one sitting at the driver`s seat while my friends have occupied the other seats. the car is very spacious and feel like its some 3 lac car. I turned the steering towards right and left and with did`nt require much of strength, so i believe while on road the steering must be much more smoother. There a lot of leg room in the back seats , and i bet oits more than alto and 800. Now, can`t say about the ride quality as i didn`t get a chance to drive it.
