Guys the car is 13months old now & i've already done 26000Kms. Did Delhi-Amritsar-Shimla-Delhi with 2friends last week & the car performed extremely well, got a mileage of 12.5kmpl on the highway.

Carholic congrats on completing 13K in the Gorgeous Firey GLS. I am the latest and probably the last member to be inducted into the GETZ Club!!

Bought a White GLS last month and Im just Loving n Living every moment. Its really a Premium Hatch and IMO One of the best looking hatch around.

Those Alloys are a Drool Maal man !!
What tyres are you running your ride on buddy and what's the profile?

@ph03n!x- Thanks man. The car has done 27K kms in just 14months giving me a mileage of 10.5kmpl in city conditions. & i would any day prefer a petrol car rather than a diesel one.

Way to go.

I totally agree with you buddy, sure the diesel engines can give you a "Turbo" but a Petrol Engines will never have any "Lags" !!

Those alloys look beautiful & gel very well with the overall look of the car.

Why dont you try blackening the B pillar. Something like this:-
(sorry for the poor MS Paint job)

Got the car serviced at 30000kms today from HMP & even met kpzen who was there too getting his getz serviced

Got the following things done-
Super Charge(Oil Additive)
Gear Oil 80W90
Engine Oil 15W40
Brake Fluid 500ML
Rear wiper blade
Pad Kit-Frond disc brake
Filter Assy- Fuel
Filter- Air cleaner
Filter Assy-Engine Oil
Spark Plug
Brake shoe cleaning
ISA Cleaning
Caliper pin greasing
Engine Flushing
Throttle body cleaning
Fuel injector cleaning
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE SERVICE(washing, etc.)

Total cost of the service- 7364/-

Awesome 30k Caroholic1 and a really well maintained Getz I must say.

Since you have the similar ride and are way too senior to me with its ownership, can you please answer some of my queries:

1. Have you installed a performance Filter (Like K&N) or gone for FFE to improve the driveability of the car? Yes, we both know that this machine is no slouch but the I feel there is kind of a "Dead" zone somewhere b/w 1500-2000RPM post which the car really pulls clean, like a turbo kicking in!!

2. How has the ride been with the 15" rims so far?
3. How has the cost of ownership been so far? Have you had any real major issue on the car?
4. I guess I know the answer for this but would still seek your advice, have you had any signs of rattles or squeaks from the car having clocked 30k kms on the ODO?

Would really appreciate your response on this buddy.

1. NO k&N has been installed, the car is completely stock in terms of performance.
2. The car is currently running on Yokohama S-Drive 195/50 R15, the ride quality compared to the stock GOODYEAR GPS-II 175/70 R13 is not that good & I just feel that the car is a little heavy with these rims & tyres, mileage got dropped a little even though yokohamas are extremely grippy(just love them on the highway).
3. Till now I haven’t faced any kinds of issues with the car.
4. The car has done 30089kms on the ODO & the car is still as smooth & silent as she was when I bought it.
