Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

Hi Ashwin, that's an excellent 3rd service and extremely happy for you that you have atlast found a good alternate to Concorde Motors.

Rs.4400 for the 3rd service (30000 kms) is pretty cheap for a sedan.

Your car look as good as new even after 2 years. Compliments !

these are the bulbs and specs. got it for 2750rs from UK(converted) for a pair of h1 and h7 bulbs. they dont require a separate cutout and they fit in the stock bulb holder. i also got a pair of indicator bulbs free. it was organised by my friend binzejohn(handle: bnzjon)

I am experiencing the same with my Punto MJD. It appears that the humming sound is of AC fan. If we switch off the AC the sound is gone.

Apart from the sound I have also observed that the AC takes toll on the acceleration (this was not the case earlier.) If we switch off the AC, the acceleration seems to be normal.

Its one week since the AC was fixed and I could see fuel consumption figures heading southward. For my regular use 50-50 Highway-city, I used to get 16-17 KMPL before the AC fix. This week it has gone down to 14.5 (with the same usage pattern).

I read somewhere that the AC fix needs to be followed by an ECU remap and Humming sound, acceleration reduction etc are after effects of not remapping the ECU.

Let me know if you experience the same.

BTW the car looks nice. Keep it up.

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

@rock'n'rollz

exactly. i hear a humming sound inside the cabin which was not there earlier. it exactly goes off when i switch off the a/c as you said.

acceleration seems to be the same for me but i have not checked it as i didnt go for a big drive. will check it out.
The FE, i have not calculated as such now. have to do a tank full and then see ( i do the tankful to tankful method). will check that out too.

never knew about the ECU remap after retrofit a/c. will call the SA and ask him

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

My linea has completed 2000kms till now. One observation was that the ac which was a chiller earlier, now doesn't cool so well. My question is "does the MJD also requires a ac compressor change?"

The MJD Lineas dosent require an AC upgrade, it was for the FIRE Engines only.
Check the pollen filter, it may have been clogged. However, your car has run less only 2000 Kms. It is better to get it checked at the ASC.

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

Congrats Geeash. Good to know that you have had a good experience at VST.Your car looks like it's straight out of the showroom. My car is due for mid service as there's been a oil sump leak detected during the free check up camp. Bad QC is as I would put it. Have to leave it for 2 days :(
