EDIT:
22 km/l from a LINEA. Am shocked..... Were you using AC? Even at 70 km/h thats much much more than anyone gets. Its my dream to see 22km/l showing on my MID. It only happens when i come from pump after restting MID and driving 4 kms with AC off. It comes till 17km/l.

How did you drive man? Unbelievable. 22 is not even shown by some MJD Lineas. Share some driving gyaan, did the roads require less gearshifts
Yes it came up with 100% A/C on. i never roll down my windows as dont want my dash to be dusty

No gyaan. Just cruise at 80kmpl. And occasional gear shifts. Gear mostly at 5th. I usually step off the pedal when climbing down a bridge after taking the car to 85kmph atop of the bridge thats all.

Wow.. 22+ in a petrol Linea.. Simply amazing buddy.. You had the "devil" in you suppressed.. so that you can steadily cruise and get a good mileage..

Unfortunately I am not able to and so the mileage figures of my Diesel Linea - a puny 16km/lt..

Next time.. I will try to be sedate and will try to emerge as a mileage champion.. Guess I am saying it for the second time..Keeping my fingers crossed for it to happen..

However.. In short.. Linea is a "Beast and a Beauty" in itself..

Regards,
Sathya

My Highest FE is 22.7 kmpl only with 100% AC and Highway drive.
With Petrol,Aha really worthy.seems operate the car with bulls
I have sent this link to my anna who is going to get his Punto 1.4 Petrol Emotion pack.
He has only one issue with Punto that's FE.
After seeing this he will be little bit chill out for sure.
Enjoy and Drive Safe

Thats a great mileage ! I saw in some link in this forum, that a linea diesel gives 30 kmpl in highways with very careful driving.
Geeash, I am sure you are on a high. I hope it stays like this with your linea and doesnt get mixed with low emotions

Ashwin,

Amazing FE !!

Did you take your Petrol Linea or by mistake taken someone's Diesel Linea ?

Your FE figures makes Diesel Linea shy away.

The highest FE i reached in my Petrol Linea is 16.8 kmpl for 20 kms in Mumbai city (no traffic - on saturday) at an avg speed of 50 kmph.

Finally, FIAT is breaking the long lasting rumor about FIAT cars being not fuel efficient

Wow 22 is really good. I think people Driving Punto 1.4 should also be able to acheive this kind of magic figure . when i read it first i thought it to be diesel. but when i read it was petrol i was amzed. Good going hope to others to achieve it

Well documented Ashwin. It's good that there is photographic evidence of what your car achieved, else am sure there would've been a lot of cynicism. With this kind of mileage, FIRE is a tough competition for MJD as well.

I know it is hard to believe when petrol car gives you a mileage of 22.8kmpl. I was astounded and taken ajar by surprise.

But one thing. i had to curb my agression to step on the pedal even though many cars like maruti 800 zoomed past me. i had to maintain a speed of 80kmph a constant to achieve this FE.

But it is worth the effort.........

This is a bit confusing. How did you guess the FE is 16.8 after driving only for 20kms in Mumbai city?

These days most modern cars have mileage display in the dash.
And Linea's mileage-meter is most accurate.

I agree but still nothing to beat the traditional tankful to tankful method for 100% accuracy
