Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

Same niggling issues guys. My mind set is also changing. This is the fifth time in 35000km, ABS is getting damaged. Thankfully till this date, concorde guys are replacing & repairing it under warranty. But it is getting on my nerves.

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

I have decided to retain my linea for the next two years until the extended warranty wears out and then decide on further plan. As of now i am planning to get a new small diesel hatch for my city ride and for wifey too

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/what-c...-syndrome.html

what the guys suggested seemed to be logical to me...........

This happenned some time back. Initially the dealership said its a battery problem and to contact Exide. The Exide guys came, charged the battery and again same story, so the next day they say the battery is fine and something is wrong with the car. Its only then that they started checking and found this compressor / relay problem.

After this issue he had some problem with the Lamba sensor causing the car to stall. The car was at VST for a week with no solution . Only after Mangesh was involved things moved and he got the car back. (remember i had PM'ed you for his contact details - Thanks for that !)

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

Hi Dr Ashwin,

Enjoyed thoroughly reading through each & every page of your thread, quite informative, goes to show the love for your car. This is the only thread on Linea, which I found to be quite exhaustive. I am just hoping that Fiat comes out with a 1.6MJD Linea next year & I can lay my hands on it. Till such time I want to scan through all the long term ownership threads on Linea & gain as much insight as possible. Do let me know of other such threads, which are worth reading.

Thanks once again for sharing your experience

Oh, What a tragedy Dr. Ashwin.
Really sorry to see the state of your Linea.
Thank God You and family were unhurt.
So, since the Tata Van has been traced, are you planning to take money from him for the damages.
Also, what did insurance guys say ?

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

@vtecguy

Looks like it is a travels vehicle. Dont think he will shell out any. At present i have to shell out and get back the damages later. I am planing to contest it in court and get damages if he is not willing to give any.

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

Update:

The surveyor has given a green signal to carry out the repairs. The bumper and tail lights are in stock.

The boot and few other parts are not in stock. so VST is planning to indent and raise a v.o.r from pune. Mr.Venkatesh has promised give me the vor number so that i can talk to fiapl ajay bhatnagar and send it asap.

Looks like it will take a weeks time..........

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

Feel extremely sorry for you & your beauty, heartfelt sympathies. The cab driver must have been one of those dumbest, not to notice the stalled vehicles on the road. However it is the Linea that saved the day for your with its "Tijori" like build. Had it been any other car, you would not have been in a position to write this report.

Re: Fiat Linea - 2nd Birthday !!!

hey geaash. this looks really bad. Its nice to hear that you and your family are safe and sound. its times like these when you really thank Fiat for their build quality. I had a similar situation when a truck hit me from back when I was waiting to change lane. I had a Palio back then and its the build quality which saved the guy at the back.
