Sneaking in a 7 series
Fiat 500 is good for such purposes, its a cutie but am yet to see 1 on roads.

7er is one huge car, my dad's friend has booked one and i think i will get a ride soon. I personally love BMW cars over Mercs. To me, Bmw cars look more solid and sturdy.

Do come for a delhi meet sometime i am sure that sometime will surely come.

Thanks man !! Yes we were lucky to have a car to our specifications already on the boat. If we had ordered a fresh one it would had taken 6-7 months !!

I have not driven the 7er yet, but I tried reversing and turning it in my house and Nope can't do it !! LOL !! Too big.

Although it feels easy to drive but I'm sure once a person gets used to it, it should be fine.

The visibility is good, the side view mirror's are much better than the E class !!

I would recommend you to take a test drive first. Yes it might cause a bit of problems in the traffic at first but once used to it, things should go smooth.

To be honest after driving the 500, every other car feels big !! LOL

Also a small suggestion, sell your merc before the new generation is launched or else the value will go down a lot. We plan to do the same after the monsoons.

And please dont go for the 5 series yet, I'm sure you must be aware they are cooking something for the new design. Have a look at the new 5 series GT on BMW UK website, it has the new 5 series front.

My father will start driving his 7er everyday only after the monsoons !!

Anyways take care and once again thanks.

Omar
Thanks for the quick reply bro.
This is something I was scared about myself too. Thing is that parking at our place can be tight at times too, given that the car is parked in the porch. My fathers friends 7 series looked huge in the porch and that is something I was scared about, specially in traffic and those places where a 3 point turn is close to impossible.
Have driven the 5 series quite a bit, and I found the turning radius to be bigger than that of the E, but visibility was loads better. Hence was asking if it is the same case for the 7 series.
Don't think the E will be sold anytime soon, at least till a good replacement is there.
Heres a quick question, is the 7 series/S class/A8 available in the regular wheelbase version? Not the extended ones like S350L/A8L/730Ld etc.

Thanks!

Lambo- only extended wheelbases for India, not very sure about A8.
But getting the regular version won't ease your driving much, these cars are massive as is. You will pay almost as much for regular version and loose out on legroom.
