The Ritz site shows that it comes with steering mounted audio controls.

Thats a first for this segment

The bad part is the same steering and controls and even the integrated audio are the same that is found in SX4 which is way more expensive

just a clarification.
Swift Zxi post Jan-08 also have steering mounted audio controls and an integrated stereo.

and the stereos of the 3 ie. SX4, Ritz and swift are different - owing to varying contours of the dash.

i10 Kappa Magna comes with Power windows on all four windows and central locking on all five doors. So i10 Kappa Magna can be compared only with Ritz Vxi and not wth Ritz Lxi. So Ritz is costlier than i10 by about 25K.

Hmm the pricing is weird i10 is still more VFM as Magna has much more goodies than an LXi & Sportz has more goodies than VXi besides unless Maruti has changed its ways the quality of i10 is much better & not to mention the freebies one gets with Hyundai.

What a welcome change from the Swift (its just become too common). I personally liked the way the rear looks. Looks muscular. With a tyre upsize and complimenting rims, it should look fab.

A few questions here:

1. I read in the news a couple of days back, that they didn't plan to launch the Diesel versions at first. The website advertises it, so does GTO's review. i am confused.

2. I am presuming that availability of the diesel is going to be an issue; given that the Swift VDi faces the same issue.

Over and above all this, i am too tempted to buy the Diesel Ritz. The only thing stopping me is launch of the GP. And of course scarcity of funds

Seems like a winner to me.

answering your questions.
1. Ritz conmes with 2 engine options

the famed 1.3 multijet Diesel and all new 1.2 k-series petrol engine.

2. about the waiting - it has just been launched a couple of hours ago. the Dealers will have somne sellable stock with them.
the picture will become clear about waiting or not in a weeks time depending on the booking inflow.

Just like Swift, Ritz also seems to be a very good platform for paint work modification.
