Fantastic pricing! Just as we'd guessed, a notch below the Swift. This thing is going to sell like hot cakes, petrol & diesel both.

So who is the possible target segment for the swift ? Engine specs are similar so is the platform.

Swift Petrol is likely to take the beating until they plonk a new engine under the hood. (1.2 K series or 1.3 M series)

Doesn't the stickering on the Demo Car at the Bangalore Dealership make the car look better?

Good Question, either ways its Maruti the winner & Swift would compete against 120 / GP

Do they have to give the same ICE and centre console in ritz too. Interior front dash looks all the same from Ritz to Grand vitara

Maruti can kiss swift sales goodbye swiftly!
The ritz pricing ensures that similar products from the portfolio will be cannibalised for sure.
Neat sticker work on the demo vehicle!

thats not true.
sure it will cannibalize the sales, but swift sice 2005 or was it 2005 has become an iconic brand.

i guess swift will take on the sporty/enthu types (including me ahem! ahem!)
and ritz will be catering to a more mature audience.

together they should increase MS's volume in the segment from 9k to 14-15k.

also, it will ensure that there is a product buffer mantained between prim A2 and premium A2 segment.

lets c what jazz/polo/i-20/gp do to MS..
interesting times to buy a car (hmmmmm)

What changes have they made to DDIS engine to make it BS IV? My guess is Swift is still BS III.
