Had a look right away!
Must say the car looks better in flesh then in pics.

But in terms of the VFM, it seems to be a bit overpriced.
A VXi for 4.45 in Delhi which doesnt even have the music system!

I feel that the Ritz might target a more mature family buyer( in terms of age) with this one. Thats why less features and more space to offer.
The interiors are just OK.
Diesel is a hot catch.

Overall, +1 to GTO for his final word, Ritz makes more sense to a family, the dudes will go for the Swift.
But yes, its more dearer then it should actually be!

At this price point i will still buy Swift DDiS. But Ritz VXi is tempting because of

1. New engine
2. Better FE (as said)
3. Price 10K-15K less than Swift VXi

Looks Like mixed bag of everything Maruti Suzuki has !
The safe and conservative approach has been embedded in whole development process of suzuki, no bright ideas anymore.

Specs look good here

But looks make me ask for something better, especially the rear. Seems like an Innova chopped off from rear and that too didnt chop in right shape.

!
A correction here.
vxi is 4.2
vxi ABS is 4.45

so that slashes the VFM proposition by 25k..

I absolutely hate the shape of this thing. There is no purpose to styling, typically japanese way of styling a car, you like it, you buy it, time passes and you forget about it.
I dont think Ritz should be compared with i10 Kappa. The Ritz definitely is a better car and to me much stiffer as well. Just compare their Kerb Weights.... 860 kgs for the i10 Kappa against 1045 kgs for the Ritz.

The Ritz zxi variant comes with dual color dash
the combination depends on the external color

blue and grey dash for White, Black, silver and Blue ones
and
the other combination (not sure if itts brown/grey or 2 shades of grey) for red, green, brown and grey colored cars.

just to cordinate or spice up things i guess

Why the huge price gap from I10 Magna with which it can be compared?

Looked up the pricing of Ritz launched today. It is priced 28K more than Magna 1.2 !! Also feature wise comparison, they are almost same (doing the carwale comparison actually Magna turns out to be a better bargain). though Ritz is definetly a slightly bigger car, does it actually deserve the 28K more!!
When I had spoken to a Hyundai dealer earlier this month he had offered for I10 Era, Insurance discound and about 8-10K cash discount (or a sound system with front two speakers free) plus the mats and mud flaps etc!! So I can consider atleast the same for Magna too atleast.
Will it be worthy to consider Ritz now or should we wait and watch for discounts for it!!

[quote=extreme_torque;1305970]typically japanese way of styling a car,

Hey, at least they spared us from a weird japanese name.

The Ritz is all about angles. Looks good at certain angles and really ugly at some others. Remember how ugly the Wagon R looked when it first came out? We might get used to the looks over time.
