I Grew Over Honda But Linea Grew Over Me !!!

I was and still a BIG Fan of Honda City. But when I saw the Linea (oh man!) The looks I mean the lines and the curves it wins hands down. I went for a test drive the cabin was silent and ofcos’ not as silent as Honda City the drivability part was amazing. Interiors were great if not the best (Best in this segment). And guess what!!! Bought FIAT LINEA Emotion Diesel. NO REGRETS.

I saw lot of people complaining about the slow pick up and use of 1st gear and 2nd gear was useless and bla bla!! But I never felt so, it’s the proper gear shift and acceleration which is important, it’s not underpowered (IMO). And if the car is properly driven with respect to gear shift and the acceleration you cannot hear the engine noise but if pedal to metal the sound of the motor is music to ears.

The finishing of plastics was better in Honda City but the quality of plastics was better in fiat Linea IMO.

Linea is more executive that Honda City. But I still salute Honda City. You people know how much strain in Heart and Head it takes to change from Honda City to Fiat Linea.

Front look is slightly better in Honda city and Sides and rear is definitely better in fiat Linea.

Honda should have put better rubber for the city so IMO handling is better in Linea.

I travel to office from Chennai to Thiruvallur every day which is around 110 Kms (Round trip). Today when I was going, Honda City was crazily overtaking me and I never let him go and after sometime I thought ok it’s Honda City and after all he is my Brother Indian and I let him go.

But still Honda is there in my mind and heart I have to get over it. After all it’s the brother Honda.

PRACTICALLY SPEAKING WITH RESPECT TO ME.
For me until I saw Fiat linea everything for me was HONDA HONDA. I thought HONDA was GOD cos it’s my mind tinge. But after Fiat Linea Launch I wanted to get off the cloud and be practical and have a open mind and MAN it took months to change my mind and you know about the mental pain.

For the Honda City Owners: hey I have emotionally written about the Emotion Linea and I am not hard on Honda City owners. Honda city is definitely one of the best cars around and you and I don’t have to prove it. I still love the Honda City.

For the Fiat Linea Owners: Have fun with the beauty. GO ROCK !!!

HONDA CITY: 10/10
FIAT LINEA: 10/10

IMO THESE ARE TWO OF THE BEST CARS IN THIS SEGMENT.

Its a wonderful car no doubt , its just that Fiat still doesnt inspire me with confidence. How about their service centres? Spare parts availability?

The car itself is a wonderful one , I would definitely think about it seriously if in the market for a sedan.

With the number of Lineas increasing as fast as Sensex is moving up...I guess a tribute needs to be paid to FIAT by adding a Linea picture on the top banner...what say guys?

Heartiest Congratulations ManManchine!!
