I will book Basic model. I wish to go for XMT but money factor preventing me doing that as I will also need money for accessories.

I will wait for Sun Film as you said, anyways rains are starting so there should not be a much problem.

I had Carpet Lamination in my Logan which kept my floor perfect clean as I had it right from the day one. It helps for cleaning also.

Reverse sensor.. hmm. I will use the car for some days and then decide.

So I will go for Seat Covers, carpet Lamination, Door Pad Lamination and 3M detailng initially.

Sun film - in view of the ban on films, I suggest you wait a while. While the Jazz does cry out for film in our climate, wait and watch better for time being.

Door pad lamination (they are beige too) may help more. Just put mats of your choice on the carpets.

Car comes with mud flaps.

Reverse sensor is the mirror type, which I am not too fond of, but again your choice if you feel you cannot judge the rear.

3M underbody and panel rust protection is a must, IMO.

Good inputs sundeep:)! How is the quality of the seat-fabric. will it be in good shape through the life of the car; else we need to go for covers across all variants.

Assuming mud flaps are provided in standard. I would avoid sun film for now though it is absolutely essential for the Jazz. Have you asked if they would provide you tinted glasses in accordance with the SC ruling? That will save you one big headache.

I had been to Hallmark Honda today to check if I can TD Jazz again. I had a chance to TD Jazz but that it almost 15 months back. But I could not do TD today as there is no TD vehicle available. Instead I tried Brio and found good quality in comparison with other vehicles in the same range.

Wife also liked Brio but due to lack of headrests at the back and since we have almost finalized on Jazz now we did not took it seriously with executive. There is almost 25k discount on Brio and executive promised me he can arrange for some more cash discount also.

He said he will try to arrange a TD of Jazz tomorrow or day after tomorrow. at the same time we might book Jazz.

Yes the Brio offer is really tempting and it is valid till this month only. It will be applicable for the cars registered in this month.
the only problem as you said rear seat ride. My wife felt a bit harsh. Although she is does not have major problem with it,but the problem is Brio does not have headrests at back and while she sits back ( while I am not in town she hire a driver) and feels to put head back.. there is no headrest. Today while TD she felt it very strongly.
although I dont mind smaller package, but her problem with no headrest is preventing me to look for Brio.

FE figures will change according to the way your foot operates and ofcourse gear shifts. I always use block shifting.

Those are very good figures for the highway. I do think the CHN-BLR road is one of the best in this part of the country.

What do you mean by "block-shifting"? How does one do it?

Block shifting is an old technique. Usually we up-shift gears 1-2-3-4-5 and downshift 5-4-3-2-1. In block shifting, we upshift 2-4 or 3-5. While downshifting, 5-3 or 5-2. But you have to match the rpm and speed of the car.

They say, we can save fuel this way. I dont have proof, but works for me.

But then that is an overall average mileage. This includes the odd heavy traffic occasion.

I find it easier to maintain good mileage on the Jazz. I just have to avoid pushing that iVtec. Perhaps once you clock a few miles on it you will know what to do.
But at the end of the day, I wouldnt worry too much about it. If its going to cost me a few hundred bucks over a long trip, then why be serious? :)

After much deliberations I'm going to book Honda Jazz (base model) Urban Titanium today / tomorrow. The wait period is 2 months. Currently the accessories which the SM has agreed to give are:

UV coating
Film
floor mats
reverse parking sensor

Need your advice on above. Are they good enough or should i ask for something different in lieu of what is being offered? I feel seat cover is a must but the SM says they're never in stock with Deccan Honda.

I guess you're lucky to be offered anything at all! The Jazz isn't making enough margins for Honda vs other models, so it hasn't seen any "official" offers from them yet! But, films are banned in India now! Do NOT get them installed!
