Diesel was finally over and i went to Shell to fill it up again. Odo reading was : 629.1KMs
and the pump reading was 34.67 lts. So, the FE was around 18KMs. I think it is impressive before the first service. My fiesta use to give me 17Kms in tight Bangalore traffic. Also upgraded tyres to Michelin XM1+ (185/70 R14) with set of five alloy wheels (SSW). Thanks to Nikhil for cutting a sweet deal and professional service at the shop. Only problem so far is calf muscle pain at the left leg. Not sure why it is coming when i drive.

Maybe the clutch is very hard? Maybe it needs time to soften up... Just a wild thought.

Anyway, waiting to see pics with the new alloys! It's going to look sweet. White Ritz with those black rims....

How much did the tire cost you? And how much did you get for your JK's? Am thinking of going for Michelins too.

Dear Fund2max. Congratulations on your new Ritz. Thanks for your wishes for me for my new Ritz. Will changing tyres void the warranty? I am thinking of changing to Bridgestone as JK tyres have lot of road noise.

I don't think so. It wont void warranty. I checked with the dealer in Mangalore when he was ready to change with Yoko A drive. JK tyres are worse and transmits, amplifies road noise. Change to a better tyre asap. I would prefer for XM1+.

Old tyres (5 Nos) - 4500
Michelin XM1+ (1 No) - 3700

Michelin is very good in Ritz.

By any chance would you be able to comment on the ride quality for the rear seat passengers, yesterday me and my wife travelled in a 1.5 month old swift on stock tyres in rear seat and felt the ride to be bumpy and not comfortable. I stay in a place near E-City where the roads have lot of potholes and is not well paved.

Apologies if this is already discussed, I am looking for this info as I am in the process of buying a car and will probably look at Ritz VDI.

Of course, stock tyres are ridiculous in path holes and even in very good roads like NH7 or NH4. Ritz has better rear seats when compared to Swift. Ride is very good and smooth after i changed the tyres to XM1+.

Congrats for your new ride.

I test drove VDI today & I am very impressed with the car except no seat height adjustment, no tilt steering & no rear defogger, wiper & washer :(

Please provide details about the ICE. HU looks gorgeous I must say.

did you fit speakers in doors? if yes, do the door panels vibrate/gurr/humm on high volumes?

Njoy the new beauty!

Seat height adjustment is a must for this car, IMHO. Others are extra, we can live with out it. ICE HU : pioneer FH-P6050UB (Price Rs 9100/-), Speakers are fit into doors, it has no vibrations on high volumes. Speakers are Sony Xplode.

1200 KMs + First service update

It is almost 20 days since i took delivery and car had clocked 1200Kms. Moreover it was dirty inside out due to monsoon. I gave it for servicing at Kalyani motors in Bannerghatta road (near Honeywell).

Some observations :

1) Engine is smooth and little noisy when compared before servicing.
2) Clutch is tight and i am still feeling some pain in left leg's calf muscle.
3) Braking has improved a lot after tyre upgrade.
4) Ride quality has improved as well.

A Question?

After Tyre upgrade (185/70 R14 Michelin XM1+) FE has dropped considerably. Is it normal?
