What a car. Absolutely satisfied with a Toyota.
Great service rendered by Mr. Godrej and team at Shinrai.
GTO - Thanx one more time for the advice.

I bought the Corolla Altis (1.8 G) in Feb 2012 and since then I have clocked about 4000 km. So far, all I can tell about my experience is that the Corolla is an epitome of comfort and pleasure. I went from Pune to Goa a couple of weeks back and even on some of the worst road patches the car drove as if it is gliding on those big pot holes. I will further post my experience as I complete more km.

Get used to this feeling. Theres a reason they say "Your dog will leave you before your Toyota breaks down."

You are most welcome! After your horrendous Skoda experience, your top priority was peace of the mind. A Toyota Corolla was the de facto choice

4 years - 100,000 kms.

Drove back from Udupi yesterday. 2200 kms round trip from Mumbai. Took me 13-14 hours (890 kms one way). Averaged 11.5 kms.

As good as new. Not a whimper. Rock steady and solid.

The good thing about Toyota. Most ownership updates are just one liners telling the vital information about Odo reading and FE maybe. Zero trouble car. Specially in contrast to your other ordeal.
How have the brake pads and discs behaved in your Altis, since that is the only small issue present in Altis.

Yes. That is one issue which is slightly irregular. 20,000 kms max. My driving style contributes to it though.

As you have rightly said, just a one liner - 1,55,000 kms and will go one more round of the same distance without a yelp.
