Small repairs are ok at a garage (in fact, they work out much cheaper too).....good that you are getting major work done at a Fiat S.S.

Yeah, we sure should meet up. Why don't you take the initiative to fix it up? Somewhere in Bandra or otherwise (centrally)

Guys update , all major work done - silencer welded, brake pads cleaned up , clutch plate overhauled ( Service guy said its good enough for abother 5-7 K ) , but the battery conked off satarday morning !!! Suggest good battery exide or Amaron ????

Amit - I got all the fungus / stains removed at Car shine Thane , they did a superb job car looks as fresh as it could ever have been !!

Amaron battery has given me good service. It is better than Exide.

I need to clean up my car interiors. Can u suggest a good place in mumbai?

Where do you stay in Mumbai ??

I had resarched a lot before jumping in , i spent Rs.1500 for 17 step treatment ( interior & seterior) , am very happy with the result i got.

Car feels really fresh.

Congrats for owning the Italian Beauty, can you tell us where you got the treatment done in Navi Mumbai / Thane ?

I am in Navi Mumbai & wanted to get the treatment done for my car also. Rs. 1500/- seems to be a decent amount for the work which you have mentioned, request you to post some pictures before & after in case if you have those with you, it would be beneficial for all of us

Well I am not too familiar with Navi-Mumbai, but i did my car at Car Shine Thane Ghodbunder Road Patlipada. Since i live at Hiranandani Estate Thane , its just 5 mins from my place. They really did a good job !

Well the Battery has been replaced atlast !

Got Tata Green , 25 months replacement + 25 months pro-rata depreciation.

Tried calling Amaron many time but there was no answer from their toll free numbers .

Got the Tata Gren delivered and installed at home, within 4 hours of calling their help line number.

Between Tata - Fiat A.S.S Balaji thane quoted Rs.5800 for the same Tata Green battery, when I told them that on Tata Greens website Din 44 Titanium series for Palio Petrol shows Rs.5485, the service centre guy told me " No sir battey am offering is 55 Apms and !!!! To my utter surprise when I cross checked with Tata Green dealer he said it didnt come in 55 Amps , it came as 60 Amps !!

I called help-line number from fiat India website to register a complain against Balaji, they heard my story and told they would take action and call me up in 24 hours .
Did the same with Tata Green , and response was dito !
Ultimately I got the battery for rs.4400 !!

What kind of crooks are these balaji guys !!

dude,there is very good fiat authorised service centre at majiwada named krishna motors.they service all cars and specialise in fiat cars.i got my petra regularly serviced there and had very good experiance with their service.let me know if you want their contact nos

The only things you need to change now are the headlights and the cars look would just change to awesome.

Dont worry about the F.E. The 1.6 has this tendency to give very low F.E with a new driver on board. Its improve as the car gets used to you

. On my car too the F.E drops drastically whenever someone else drives.

Yes i would change the head lamps .. only after monsoons are over.
