Congrats maglev for your new car.
Do you mean the wooden interior trim for the dashboard and the door side. If it is from autographix then it costs just 1000. If it is 6500 then the dealer is cheating you with the price mentioned, however he gives it for free, so that you wouldn't bargain further.

Also did you change the tyres? If not then Maruti has changed from JK Vectras to Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 tyres for the SX4.
The tyres were changed on the 2nd day itself. I got 4 Goodyear Eagle NCT 5's (SIZE: 225/55 R16) in place of the JK Vectra's (SIZE: 205/60 R16) the transaction cost me Rs. 11,000/- the JK Tyres went for Rs. 3300/- per piece sold 4 of them!

Looks like Maruti is listening to the customer feedback. This is good news. The protruding rear middle seat and the rear high headrests were the main concerns I had with this car.

Do post some pics of the interiors, wooden finish and the flattened arm rest, etc.

Welcome to the club. The SX4 is a very good package. Even after driving one for 15 months I cannot but be impressed by its imposing (Predator) stance. It is good to know that Maruti has acted on the customer feedback and made the required changes to the the seats and the neck restraints.

Please do post pictures of the new seat and the wood trim.
the rear seat (MIDDLE) is a lot more comfortable than before. I compared it with an older version. The rear head rests also do not obstruct the rear vision while reversing. Pics attached!

nothing to worry about the wooden trim as it is actually a wooden trim kit and not autographix, have a look Pics attached!

the wooden trim finish is good. Also it's nice that you have changed the tyres, hope you have less tyre noise.

Thanks! The tyre noise is far lesser. It feels a lot more quieter in the 60-80 kmph bracket. I have not gone beyond that as the car is still under the running-in period.

What brand of tyres have you got. in my SX4 its JK and tyre noise is pathetic after 80.

Also how is NVH after 80?, obviously reply once you try that.

Maruti advertising folks would hang themselves, if they read title of this thread. How can you call SX4 she? It is supposed to be all MALE.

Congratulations on your new ride! Enjoy it.

The only reason i'm referring to her as ''SHE'' is because I've had an accent before this one, for almost 4 years and I've always referred to her as she/her, I guess its become a habit.
