There is usually a lever or other mechanism for changing the status of the child lock on the side of the edge of the door near the striker bolt. Open the back door from the outside and look for the lever.

Yes I will have it checked in the first service which is due any time soon. BTW I am getting any where between 12.5-14 in Pune city and 16-17 on the expressway at speeds greater than 100.
Is it sorted out yet? i am also feeling same in my spark. However odo is just 5000, not sure if its alignment issue.

Body noise

Recently, I find a noise in the body of the car. Don't know the word for it, its not a rattle. Nor a squeak. More like some plastic panel is moving just a tad and creaking when the body flexes over a hump. Any one else has noticed and more importantly, gotten this fixed? If so, where and what was tightened? I am not in the mood to go to the station just for this.....

Even I noticed a strange sound near the driver's door end. After self investigation it seems that the spring latch holding the door is culprit. Two drops of oil there and voila the cockpit is again soundproof.

I am not sure that the latch is causing the sound in my case, but I will try the remedy and see what happens....will update in a day or two, thanks!

My Sparky crossed 6.2K in ODO and me too hear some rattling noise from front speaker area. Its probably from tweeter mounting, planning to get it checked this weekend.

I did just this, and the creaking has gone. I am still not sure how there is connection, but if it works...!
Another thing I have noticed is a hint of fuel smell in the cabin after topping up the tank. It goes away in a little while, so this is just one for the list in the next service in four months.
No other rattles of any kind anywhere, but I have to say the car stays inside Pune city, where most of the roads are very decent now.
