Have you checked with Tata whether they have actually received the order from the dealer. Sometimes dealers delay filing order with the company.
This practice happens everywhere. The reason is that if their sales for current month are good and target is met or exceeded, they push order filing to next month just so that if there is lean period, it kind of evens out.

This is what it looks like. Since there is limited ways of proving this, I am not going with what they say and hoping that I get the vehicle on hand in the new time frame.

People,

Talk about response and customer relationship of TATA, my first few interaction has, well, blown me off completely and pleasantly surprised the way things have been done so far (not that much, but what ever little was to be done).

They definitely seems to be a great bunch of people sitting there unlike the front line set.

I hope that the experience is the norm and not a one-time ... woah... stop here!

Now this get even more interesting - the person just called me back and does the following:
- apologies for the mis-communications between their entities
- ensure that the vehicle is sent out at the earliest
- promises to update me as and when a status changes (prod / shipping / et la)
- and given me a most probable date of delivery

Yes, I do understand that this is to be taken for granted, especially when you are buying the premium class from the manufacturer and at that cost - but, as long as the help was given at the required time, I am happy.

Now, I am all praises! The way the person did the whole conversation and the way he handled it! Thank you!

So now, the date is set to 10th August. And I have a feeling that this will definitely be the date!

EDIT: All this was not from a person or ID that I got from our folks here. I did get few, but have not used any of them so far. This was in response to a mail that I had sent from the "Contact Us" form in the TATA site!

This is really great to hear and I hope other manufacturers are reading this.

I once used such a form on a Hyundai website and never got a response. Ironically, one of their service managers who got in touch with me was because he read a thread that I had posted on this website about the bad service.

Sure is GPA! I never expected a response, much less an immediate resolution!

OT: Yup, it finally happened. All part of the learning curve I suppose. I take it in the right spirit and march on. I suppose you have also been part of this exclusive club at one point in time?

Good to know, its a service desk operating behind the "contact us", all queries are professionally handled.

Can you also get the details of the Safari Mileage as per CMVR 115, results of tests conducted by ARAI, just for information sake.

I had read a mileage of 15.x kmpl for X-trail and was quite surprised(tested under the same rule).

For the loan, I got the 8% offer, that is 1st year 8%, 2nd & 3rd year 10%. After that is it 11.5%, which is .25% less than the current RBI rate of 11.75%.

I can pre-close without any charge after half the tenure period.

PM'ing you the details.

EDIT:

@Dadu: will check and let you know.

Hey Vijay,

Hopefully it does not change. I had got a call from the sales person, confirming from his side, that the vehicle is under-production and that the shipment is due on 30th.

Since they are going to be invoiced on 30th, he wanted to get the bank work done so that they can get the fund released soon.

Told him to wait till the PDI at the stock yard is done and the vehicle is fine (which it should be and I see no reason why it should not be, as of now).

Told him that the delay is not from my side and he and his people are responsible for the delay, when he made a note of month end and all that!!!
