Congrats on your new car. Its a nice looking car from Honda. I just hope they price it right next time!!

A couple of observations:

The model in India is not 5star rated. Only with all the side air bags it gets that rating. Companies should stop advertising it this way.

I also noted that all the steering controls are on the left side of the steering. Thats ok for A/T, but with manual transmission, most of the time your hand is on the gear knob. So to change something, you have to lift your hand anyway. You might as well then reach out to the dashboard controls, making it less valuable.

Enjoy your new ride!

The cutest and nicest looking honda IMHO. I don't like any other car in their line up right now in terms of looks.

I like everything else in this car except the price. But for the price, am sure this car would give the other competitors a tough fight.

Anyways, a Honda is a Honda and people do not mind paying when it is a Honda.

Honda Jazz is the second most reliable car in U.K as per Which mag. First was Accord. Interesting that solid built cars available in India were not in top ten.

Congratulations! It is an excellent car in its own right! And this is a segment defining thing too! I wish they had padded it up with some more features!

Just took a longish city drive on a friend's one day old Jazz.
There's no doubt this is a classy product. Fit and finish inside is excellent, but not better than Ford or even GM. The design is really innovative, everything inside is deliberately and thoughtfully laid out. It's really like a Swiss knife concept.
There is acres of space, the boot, the rear seat...I cannot help but marvel at this.
Vision in front is slightly compromised by the vast expanse of dashboard, though I am not really short (172 cm), and I suppose one gets used to it eventually.

Acceleration is not it's best point, a bit like the petrol i20 I drove a month back.
However sound insulation is excellent.
Think my wife may like this car, except for the driving position.

congratulations Manu. Excellent buy IMO. Interiors are fantastic. design, layout looks great. White looks good. I don't know if the metallic orange is on offer in India. I have seen the Honda Fit (as its called in US) here in US in this color and looks stunning. see the picture.

you know what. i could have written and crib about lack of alloys or fog lamps. or climate control.

but look at it in this way. put this car against any premium hatch. and then compare the boot space, utility, interior quality, refinement, and perhaps even safety, and it you will have to put green ticks on all departments.
(you cant buy a honda without airbags or abs its not an option ). this is very good thing. safety should be made a priority. (full marks for i20 for providing curtain and side airbags)

i feel that if honda is treating this car an wothy alternative to the honda city(without boot) then they should bring in the ANHC engine into this, which makes 117hp. this is how the car is sold in the US. so why should india be different.
