This was told to me at the dealership while buying my car:
1) the iPod touch and Iphone/iPhone 3G don't work via USB - you have to connect via aux-in and play your music. (confirmed - my iPod touch doesn't work. It doesn't go on/off however, just no sound plays. Works perfectly well when connected to the Aux-in)
2) iPod shuffles and minis work perfectly well via USB, with song names shown in the mini display. (confirmed - my friend's ipod mini works on USB)
3) I just use a cheap USB drive loaded with all my MP3s (4 GB) and plug it into the USB port - the i20's stereo picks up the folders and song names, plays VBR files too, all fine
AS for the stereo reseting because of the horn, that sounds very strange. Do get your car's electricals checked by your dealer, this should be rectified by them. If they can't figure it out, ask them to replace the head unit of the deck. Should be under warranty.

Wildon - Anyone please help??? |
I don't have an ipod so didn't got a chance to test it. ipod operational instructions can be found in the owners manual.
Regarding the Horn check the electrical. Disconnect the Horn and give a try.

check out the i20 pics somewhere i found in FB
IMO the above pics look like an overkill.
OMG.. I didn't knew that one can spoil the looks of i20 like this :Shockked:
This sure doesnt suit the i20
IMO the one who has done this (if this is for real) has kinda mis-spelt the Decale on the Windshield.
He was just being "GREEDY" and not "GREDDY" about the way his I20 should have looked. Guess he ended up making it look like a Collage of Paint & Parts!!! lol: rl:
Hi Wildon,
what happend to the anti theft alarm/buzzer finally? were you able to get it installed in your car? Please throw some light on it.
pardon my ignorance if it is already answeredstupid:
anyways...I am getting my i20 Sportz (Petrol) this sunday. I would like to get the auto lock configured/programmed when i take the delivery.
My friend has an i20 Asta...he too is looking for the Anti Theft alarm details desperately...so requesting you to give us more info.
thanks in advance for your inputs/help.
Cheers
It should be working when you take the delivery. Lock the car with keyless entry. Open the driver door with the key, once you unlock it should give the sound. Mine didn't give at the time of delivery. After a day or two it worked, not sure why.
Check out i20 Coupe
* 3 Doors
* Check out the tyres and aloys
* Check out the Skirting
I don't like it but I lvoe the exhausts.
BTW Hyundai is still refusing the bloody ECU cover. Got my 10k service done today. NOW WHAT ?? It's really irritating me now, are we supposed to go with the Verna's ECU cover? I'm damn bugged about this now.

Most of them where YES/NO, so some questions i have not agreed to say YES/NO. It took 15 min or so and i have given my feedback about car which includes the A/C too. |
I recently received an email from the email-id
ubertroopergrp@gmail.com for i20 Feedback based on Google Spreadsheets (link given below).
i20 Feedback- Did any of you guys receive this too?
- Is Hyundai really behind this survey (as claimed in the email) or is it being done by others (can't say for sure).
In anycase, all other i20 owners might also submit their feedback, incase you haven't received this directly.

If you recall a month back I had an issue with the car misfiring and the ECU warning lamp blinking, after switching off the engine and restarting, the car was back to normal, took it to the service center they checked the ECU with the diagnostic device and could not figure out anything. The misfiring happened when it was raining, my gut feeling is water had something to do with the car misfiring.
Rain gods are arriving in just a fortnight, I better get this ECU cover ASAP. I would advice the other i20 owners to also do the same, you would not want to be stranded on a highway in pouring rains.

Thanks for the info Carbhp...please clarify...
are you saying that your car 'beeps' when you try to open the doors/hatch when you have locked it using the remote key? or is it just that the lights (Turn Indicators) simply start blinking (without horn/beep)?
Please reply because the Blue Hyundai people are suggesting that the Indianized i20 does not have the 'beep/horn' feature!!
Cheers
