Thanks Wildon and darksoul.

1) No, Auto-AC or manual AC is not switch on. Just the blower fan. I generally keep temperature at 20 or 22 degrees when the fan is on. In Bangalore, when i return home from work at nights, outside temperature will be about 22 degrees and i try to keep the same temperature in car. I usually keep the driver side window glass 80% closed and drive to get air recirculation.

2 & 3) I just did the first service for the car 2 weeks back. I hope they would have checked it.

How can i clean air filters myself? Is it possible as a DIY in first place? (Mine is a new i20 and it has vertical air-vents)

K&N Air filters and free flow exhausts are the general, low cost mods one can do to enhance performance slightly.

Cabin air filter can be removed by referring to the user manual!!

i20's manual is amazing and offers loads of info for DIYers etc.

-----------------------------

btw changed my reversing and interior bulbs to LEDs too!! Now they are like super bright and pure white!!

Here are the two filters, remove the bottom filter(filter 2) first, then the filter 1 will come down so that you can remove that too.

@Wildon - Are you aware whether the cabin lights are also covered under warranty? My cabin lights have recently conked off.

^Get LEDs man!! You wont regret em for cabin lights!

White SMD 6-LED , Car LED Bulbs,12V Lighting System-2pc | eBay

I've retrofitted LEDs in place of my cabin lights and they look awesome!! + light up the cabin in bright white light.

Fading effect has also become sharp!

Also changed my front position lights to LEDs

Now its much-much brighter, actually lights up the area in front!!! + looks cool lol!

Check out the comparison pics -

Left side is generic bulb, and right side is LED!

Sohail bhai you bowled me over

I am getting them right away. Kindly enlighten us with how many sets (2 bulbs per set) we would need for both the front headlights.

And 1 set I believe for the cabin light right?

Hand lamp leveler and all those controls wont be effected I presume. Right?

And finally, its just plug and play, just remove the older ones and put these in the place. Correct?

Re: Feels like i'm 20 now - Hyundai i20 Asta 1.2

Yup!!

You just need 2 LED bulbs(1 set) to replace the stock ones in both headlamps. The position light bulbs are 'W5W' ones. Or the base should look like the one shown here - http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The ones I got, didn't fit through the hole for the position light as the stock bulb is so small. So I had to remove the main headlight bulb and use its bigger hole to position the LED with a forceps into the position light(smaller) hole. It might get frustrating when you cant get it in but its worth it in the end!

These are so bright that even when my main headlamp is on low beam, the headlamp cluster still appears white!!

---

And 2 festoon bulbs(1 set)(the one I linked in my post above) for interior lighting!

Nothing is affected. Its just remove old bulb, replace with new one and refit.

BUT, you need to remove the headlamps to do that!! Kinda tough to both pull out and reset back!

The space behind either headlamps is very less and you cant make the change while the headlamps are attached.

Alright... I am game. May I request you to post which bulbs you used for the headlights and from where you sourced them. And of course the specs would also help.

I will order from the above link for the in-cabin lights.

Sounds like a canteen discussion between first year students - LOL

Did you get those LEDs from ebay? Does this void the warranty at all?

Re: Feels like i'm 20 now - Hyundai i20 Asta 1.2

^OMG I totally didn't mean that lol!

I ordered the 3rd one from above from this site - 194 168 W5W 2825 Map Led Parking Signal Marker Bulbs

Thats because I was getting other stuff too so I added them too!

Later I found out that you get them at ebay.in too!

btw do message the shop guy at ebay before ordering. Seems like he's inactive or something!

Its just a stock replacement bulb and I don't think it'll void warranty. It'll produce very less heat and use less of battery power while being slightly brighter and looking cooler!

Generally, the more LEDs, the brighter the overall assembly is! Mine has tiny 25 SMD LEDs. But bigger SMD LEDs produce the same light with less number of them.
