You mean to say when you want to stop the car and alight from the car
1. Unlcok the doors manually or by remote
2. Switch off the engine and remove the key from the socket
3. All passengers get down from the car and all doors closed
4. All the doors lock automatically, is that so ?

Yes

As per my understanding from the manual there are two types of installation for alarm , in one no need to cut any wires, you only need to plug the wires into the vacant ports. Look like i'have to go for DIY after getting some proper documentation of i20.
Hello wildon,

Are we getting any good news on this?:)

Yes i'm getting near to it, Only thing is that i'm not getting enough time to trace the wire/color code so i can try this. At present i have put identifying stickers on whatever wires i have traced. So waiting for a long weekend with no disturbance.

Hey Wildon - Any plans for ICE n Alloys??

I saw an awesome set of Black Matt Alloys with a RED lip on a black i20 the other day in Malleshwaram. I swear i went weak in the knees - no kidding.

But no matter how close i got to the damn wheels i just couldnt get the name :Frustrati

So just took a couple of snaps and i'm hoping to stumble across them when i go alloy hunting. Lemme know when you plan to go accessory shopping, I might just tag along :D

PS: Heard that Sprockets in Koramangala is good

^^^ No plans for upgrading the ICE and Alloys.

:Shockked: DTE feature in our Indian i20 will cost inbetween 30k to 40k :deadhorse

70% wires are traced.. still to go

Whats the mileage (in-city) that people are getting in i20-1.2?

Getting in between 10-12 after my 2nd service with full time a/c

Wildon, Try using the Shell petrol, the figures will improve significantly.

I'm using shell only from day one.

I drove pretty hard during my last tank and ended up with a 9.5 but with this one things look promising. Might be able to match or exceed my usual 12ish.

My first tankful on my i20 petrol gave me 12,
got 13.5 kmpl on the Delhi - Shimla trip I did in September(100 % AC On),
post 1st service , have got 15, 16.7, 16.7 kmpl in the next 3 times i filled it up.
Same petrol pump every time- Bharat petroleum - COCO and daily office drive is 85 km (50%/50% in city and highway).

I maintain 80-100 kmph on the gurgaon expressway. To give a comparison Have managed 18kmpl on the same stretch on my Santro with all other factors being equal.

Unfortunately it comes only in black.

Don't be surprised by the price in the pack rest is fitting + tax

Wow!! thanks a lot for the part no. and other info!

Just ordered this part at my dealership!! they said it'll be here in a week or so!:D

Also regarding the auto-locking of the central locking system, the service centre guy said that I should come over to the workshop and they'll check it out!(?)

Dunno, but they sounded kinda unsure of activating that feature!

Anyways, I'll be going there when they have the Rheostat with them to get both the things done!

Thanks a lot Wildon for for updating the thread with really precious info clap:

Well I'm fed up with the Hyundai Customer Care persons/ Support oneliners " This feature is not available in the i20 which sells in India or it can not be retro fitted"

The features they have advertised through the Brochure at the time of buying is not present in my car ! and all of these are standard fitments.

The missing features are

1. Body Coloured radiator grill
2. Vanity mirror - Psg
3. Ticket Holder.
:Frustrati

Illuminated glove box which is mentioned in the brochure but not in the key feature list.

Yesterday i got a call from Hyundai Chennai regarding this and the person said he will look in to this. And the person said they have not listed this feature in the brochure. But i have the copy of the brochure in which all features are listed as standard fitments.

Whats your suggestions friends..

I have an i20 brochure with me too, but I dont see the vanity mirror & ticket holder mentioned in my brochure

In any way all manufacturers always have disclaimers:

Their disclaimer says:Ciao!
