Yep, it's all about the customer's these days, as competition increases, the scope of services get wider, all good for us consumers!! anyway, am not sure if seat covers can be done at our places though, esp Stanley and Karrlson, not very sure!!

Yep, the new sxi premium ovrm's (chrome with turn indicators) should be available as an upgrade, but not too sure how the wiring is done for the turn indicators as they are'nt present in the ZXI.

Sat 19th -- Fiesta Dressed in Stanley

It has been a busy weekend.
Sat was the day when the Fiesta got its "Tuxedo" .
I will write up a separate thread on my experience, which i must add was very good.
The Outfit and cost is a follow
1. Seats done in "Desert Haze" S-Tech
2. Door Trims in matching leather
3. Steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake handle in black leather
(the gear boot was not able to be done due to the way the base was riveted
to the plastic frame)

Total cost: Rs 15K

Total Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm (the ETA was originally 2:00pm)
This from start to finish (including the lunch break)

Overall rating, 9.5/10
.5 marks reduced for the delay in delivery

Well here are a few pics , as they say "a pic is worth a thousand words"

amazing !!!! the seats look really nice and rich. Am happy to see the door fabric also in leather. i was a bit worried abt my door fabric getting spoilt (i had a small black spot on the first day itself, and it doesn't go away by cleaning).

Will check whether i can get the door fabric changed to leather

2 questions - are these seat covers removable? And how to keep them clean?

Again, nice work. enjoy the 'new' baby...

thanks

Its a very professional fit and finish, no doubt. Worth every penny spent. Now, I assume you had to leave the car at their place, please give some location details. I really like to see the colour options available.

Now having driven around with the fabric for a while, how do you find the comfort part ? I find the fabric very skin-friendly, and fear that art-leather might give some skin irritations (as I already have skin issues with my PC chair and home sofas). Any extra padding or cushioning done ? I think the door pads need extra padding, as I had a hard skin on my elbow after driving for an hour non-stop (right hand elbow resting on the door). Your work is 100% art-leather or genuine leather filled in the body touching areas ?

Expecting more details about the work. Congratulations again, it looks rocking now !

Excellent piece of work, worth every penny you spent, my only grudge with leather seats is in hot climate back sweating becomes problematic (I may be wrong), else easy to maintain.

@kumar7: Thanks, i agree.

@ashish: Thanks, The original seat covers are removed and the new ones are stitched to the frame, hence these are not user removable. As for keeping them clean, i plan to take it back to them once in a while for a clean-up :-)

@shaju: Thanks.Yes we had dropped the car off at 10:00am ,they are located on Mission Road. The seats are 100% Art leather, the door trims and steering wheel are genuine leather. The comfort has been increased with the seats as they do add a little cushioning. The door trims do feel soft as well and being. Will post in more details

@rajesh: Thanks, I normal drive with the A/C on (as you will be experiencing soon the Fiesta's A/C is fantastic) so hopefully wont sweat too much.

I guess the ICE bug is doing is rounds
I went a little window shopping for a simple upgrade, speakers only.
Stopped by the JBL shop near the Forum. JBL Components for the front and normal set for the rear. Approx cost Rs8.5K
As i mainly listen to the Radio not sure if the upgrade will make a huge difference.
Hence still deciding to ICE or not to ICE, that is the question.
