Hey GTO, thanks for the appreciation. It was great dealing with you. People usually find it very easy to criticise and very few actually appreciate good effort. More than anything else, your example just goes on to show the kind of brand loyalty Mercedes-Benz has. No doubt that the C180 was a car fested with problems, but youll soon realize what a fantastic choice you have made ( Im sure you have already realised!..lol ) Not to mention the "additional convenience feature" that your car has that most new C-classes dont..

Car looks sharp with the clear lights, HIDs?? . Hopefully they ironed out all the glitches.

At the end of the day a good $$$ deal can cure all past differences and hard feelings.

Clear lights, not HID's. Not even the E comes with HID's.

GTO,
congrats.
Was a bit surprised myself but to be frank Mercedes has really improved the quality on the New (clear lens) S classes, new E classes and hopefully the new C class too.
Not a single problem to date except the A.C.
Will be postin a review soon and hope you do that too.
And some more pics will be appreciated. Maybe Mr Rudra on one of his visits here....
And trust me.
You will die waiting for the Run in period to get over.
The torque will soon start controlling you as it's controlling dad.
Damn.
It is soo cool that you will forget the price of the car and just want to step on the gas.
And please the last thing you would want to do is plan a trip on the expressway or good highway driving coz trying to stick to the Run in limit on some of Indias best roads with one of Indias Best engines will be worse then torture (I know coz we went to Pune when our car was a virgin with only 600km on the ODO and if it wasn't for the speed limiter we would have def. touched a sweet 200 kmph)
Anyways,
enjoy your car.

I guess you know better! But I see a lot of Es with the outer "eye" having an HID lamp, and the shade of the light seems to suggest so too.

In India, the only Merc with xenons (and bi-xenons) are the CLS and the SL Class. Not sure if the SLK comes with Xenons.

xenons

SLK is equiped with Xenons ...

a good way to know if a car is equpped with factory fitted xenons is by the the presence of headlight washers ...

The superb Has Bi-Xenons as well

Not necessary madmonkey. The old-gen S Classes had headlight washers but no xenons.

Nopes. The Skoda does not have bi-xenons. The high beam is still a halogen bulb.
