I chose this over the Altis and the Civic as the rear leg room and the seat height were good for people who prefer to lounge at the back. I've had passengers who've slept with a cushion for a pillow at the back, while I drove on highways. So no problem re. space or comfort there.
.
Looks clean, handsome and expensive - like a Arabian thoroughbred! Love the colour - just the right shade.

I'm surprised at the rear leg room - more than the Civic?

Plenty of chances for it to stretch its legs then. These Germans are made to make light work our chaotic highways.

>>> d_himan,

It might not be more than the Civic, but it is more user friendly, in that the Civic's rear seats are set lower and so you're not as comfy-at least that's what I felt. In fact I sat at the back and the front of my friend's new Accord and although the new Accord is a veritable drawing room on wheels, it didn't feel so comfy. I think the Germans manage to make you feel cocooned better.

>>> McLaren,

The Jetta is a good highway cruiser and it very stable even for high speed cornering (although I haven't done more than 100-110 kmph on corners), with good grip levels. Will use all of that capability in the future too.

Interior pics of the Jetta -1

These pics will provide a glimpse of the fit and finish of the materials ( good quality materials, plastics are not hard) and the space available to sit and relax in ( you will get some idea of the rear leg room).

These pics will be in two installments for your viewing pleasure.

Will add pics of the boot later.

Pics 19-24
Enjoy!

Interior pics of the Jetta - 2

Pics 25-30

The last pic (30) gives an idea of the space, which is more than adequate.

All faces made into KKK headgear to preserve privacy ( on a lighter note!)

If anything, I'm impressed with the class that all black interiors have. The first thing I thought when I saw the interior of the new Polo was "Oh no.. its beige". Great pics of the interiors anyway.

By the way issigonis, I know the Jetta has only one reversing lamp while the other is a fog lamp. So is there a seperate switch for the rear fog lamp or has it been disconnected in the India version?

There is. It even gives access to boot when you further open it.

Lads,

Just got back from a 500+ kms Bombay - Trimbakeshwar-Nasik-Shirdi- Bombay trip. Will attach the log tomorrow. Could not take pics of the car but have some pics of the passing scenery. Will upload.

Was a mixed trip though. Will tell you more later.

Regards
