I ask this because I am trying to get rubber mats, parking sensors and sun film through them (for my Jetta)and they are yet to get their after sales act together...

The Passat is the kind of car where you make a subtle statement by not making a statement, unlike say a Camry or a 3 series or a C class...congratulations.
Regards
First,Thanks everyone.
VW downtown Mumbai is a new dealer.First they were not cooprative,so I went to VW Pune and got a good deal(free good quality sun film+floor mats+side mirror locks and VW original umbrella,(passat has a nice umbrella pocket on driverside door) and a corporate discount of Rs.40000) and free insurance+3year or 45000km.free maintanace. This made Mumbai VW to offer me same deal. The parking sensors are not at all practical in mumbai, they are very sensetive and they react to a small object like small stone. For me they are not at all practical.

I will post pictures of my car when I get time to take pictures.

I really love this color, but when we went for booking Jetta, they said the color is not available and we had to go for white.
Is it DSG or MT?

The color looks cool moreover it changes its color by time(day and night).
DSG box is very precise and anybody love to drive it passionately.
Enjoy and Drive Safe

they interiors are truly world class, the overall fit & finish is too good, the ambience is also of a car of higher segment.

Nice shade. I like the interiors of the Passat in beige, not so much in black.

As a Passat owner myself, congrats!
I am surprised that you say that the interior quality of the CRV is better than that of the Passat. The wood paneling in your car is real wood - not the cheap plastic stuff you will find in many Japanese cars. Likewise, the metal trim in the central console of your car is real metal as opposed to the metal plated plastic found in most other cars of this class. Once place where they did cut corners is the trim around the gear shift which is made of cheap metal plated plastic.

For me the interior is not eye catching.
Especailly wooden trim in speedo console.
Either they use Wooden or Steel trim all over.
I haven't seen interior of Passat before.

The interiors are suuuuperb. The full car diagram in the console looks a bit cartoonish but, for a new driver, it your face 'doors are open' warning.

Congratualtions on your new buy. The car looks very elegant and the interiors are also well done. I thought generally people move from a sedan to a SUV but here it is the other way round.

How's does it feel to drive a sedan after driving a SUV for so long. Do post your initial driving experiences.

The CRV really can't be termed as areal SUV, it's a car in a UV guise. Not a proper one, and you cant compare it to the passat. They are two different beasts altigether. I just like the passat more though.

The wood trim is optional. It can be replaced with the brushed aluminium finish exactly similar to the finish on the centre console.
