Nice photo's indeed
Congratulation on your new buy.
It seems that more and more people are now changing to fiesta.
I was told that FORD is now really started caring for its customers and no wonder
soon they will catch up with other front runners in the car Industry.
Hope there wont be any complaint regarding ***, as in the past..

Guys,

Crossed 1000 kms on Sunday. Some queries.

1. Is the oil change necessary? I heard some one has gotten the same done.
2. Also, does "run- in" need to be extended to 2k kms or is 1k ok.

Reg

@premjit, does the 1.6 S come with a set of 4 of 5 alloys ? Is the spare an alloy as well ?

@sdp: The S comes with 15 inch alloys but they're only 4 in number. The spare is a steel wheel. I think the Cedia is the only one that offers alloys on all 5 wheels (That too O.Z. )

According to service manual, oil chnage is required at 10,000kms or 6 months whichever occurs earlier.
Thanks

@joy: pretty cool, buddy. another VFM feature for sure.

@nairrk: Agree with the service manual suggestion, but just wanted to know whether it could be done earlier under service. Also, am keen to shift to fully synthetic oil soon.

@All: anyone whoz shifted to using fully synthetic oil on the 1.6 duratec. Brand suggestions?

Blue Streak approaches 5k kms.

Hey Folks,

I was just going to put in my 5k report on Blue Streak but have needed to push back the same for a little while. You see, a small niggle has appeared in the otherwise bulletproof reliability of the vehicle.

I've been facing some issues wrt to the braking on the car over the weekend. Braking from 50 kph onwards leads to a juddering sound apart from the pulsing of the brake pedal. Some amount of brake pulse can be explained by the ABS system working but the juddering is something I cant get myself around. Today, will get a basic alignment and balancing done but am not sure that will help.

Has anyone got any tips?

Hey Thanks, Got the balancing and alignment done and the problem seems to have died out. Am totally beaten by this. Will talk to Ford.

premjit, get the alignment done. If that does not fix it, take the car on an empty road and slam hard on the brakes when you touch 60 or so. Do this a couple of times. Really hard. If that does not fix it as well, you need to take it to the A.S.S.

@gilead: Any idea why this could be happening. Would help to know the cause and how slamming the brakes would help.
