I'll definitely take a TD of both for extended periods now!

btw there should be a protocol for taking a perfect TD within a short time!(just like the Pre-Delivery Inspection list!)

Thanks again
No problemo bro!

There are a few points which I usually check in a car when I test drive it. You can make a list beforehand. That should help you maximize gains from the TD.

Thanks!

Black would have looked awesome with red. Wouldn't it?

Has anyone done it here yet?

Does it happen around 2,000rpm? As it happens in my car at that rpm and as you said, when the a/c is on.
This is happening with my 1.4 punto also ( more when A/C is on. but its not compressor). Concorde( Bangalore ) guys checked for errors using a system and found none. He also found it to be normal. I think its usual thing with 1.4 petrol punto.

Between, I was always filling IOC petrol . I even tried changing to BP , still its the same effect

The car's first service is almost due.

I'll ask my brother about the problem and update the thread.

Update:

The car had its first service today.

The engine oil was replaced at my insistence. The SA threatened that it would void the warranty, only when I asked him to give it in writing did he quit.

They were vociferous against the oil change. Anyways, there were no problems with the car.

The clutch cylinder sleeve job has been done under warranty.

The total charges were around Rs.2500. Which was mainly because of the oil.

My brother tells me that the lack of power at low rpms in the 2nd gear has improved. The lag is reducing according to him. He also tells me that gear shifts and in-gear acceleration is a lot smoother.
He recently went for a 700km drive and did not face any issues with the car. He was all praises for the handling and high-speed stability.

Will update with a few pics soon.

Cheers!

Lovely pics, and good to know that the engine has improved now. Do report the mileage figures after the oil change.

Thanks a lot guys!

The pre-oil change efficiency figures hovered around 12 kmpl. Lets see where they go now! Will keep updating the thread.

Thanks again!

I got an update from my brother on the 2nd gear's initial lag. He says that although is has reduced appreciably, it is still present. Though it might just be because he was looking for it.

Any updates on that front from any 1.4 Punto/Linea owners?
