If you usually travel outside of town then GPS makes sense else its of no use. My PDA have in built GPS & supported by Satguide but my experience is that you can't depend much on them because sometime in between signal goes off or some roads are not available in maps. Initially I enjoyed it but now I don't use it at all.

As far as the accessories are concerned, your dealer quoted fair price and inline with ford pricelist +/- Rs 50 - 100.

If you need GPS system then buy it from outside.

As per ford price list seat cover price is fine but you will save 2 - 3K if you buy it from outside.

If Alloys change is not urgent then do check outside and you never know you will get same SXI alloys at cheaper price or you can go for better design. If you planning to stick to ford brand then below is the price for alloys -

14" ALLOY WHEELS SILVER (SET OF 4) 17,500
14'' ALLOY WHEEL KIT BLACK (SET OF 4) 18,500
14'' ALLOY WHEEL KIT CHROME (SET OF 4) 34,000

Scuff plates - You dealer quoted Rs 2/- more than ford price
Go for scuff plates as it looks good and you feel nice when you enter in the car.

Chrome strip - I think your dealer is right. Mostly all accessories comes in black color and later they paint it as per the car color

Lastly, the CD cover is nice one and suits interior. Congrats

Yes, I Bought it, through ebay (online).
The 3rd photograph is the one taken after fixing the cd case on the sun visor. You can store upto 20cd's.
I believe beige is not available, but in any case this case will come inside the sun visor (from outside you will see only two strips that tie up the cd case with the sun visor).
Thanks

I love the alloys 1.6S gets. Check if they support wheel upsizing.

And get GPS from mapmyindia or so. Cheaper and better support.

@kumar7
Thanks your last.
GPS-am not in a hurry to buy this item, especially at Rs.20k as quoted by Ford which is too high.
The other one, which I sourced from ebay (photo already posted couple of days back) is chinese unbranded product. However according to the seller, in this product, Indian maps are already installed and ready to use. Further, one can install any software/maps (running on WIN CE5.0) on the 2GB card provided. This price is Rs.9999/-.

Other accessories: If the difference in price is only about Rs.1k or nearby, I still prefer to stick with the Dealer for Ford items (in case of alloys, if requried at later stage, one can get even one alloy from ford which is not possible from outside brands - hope I am correct?). The Guy is so far good with me and very cooperative. Another thing is that there is only one Ford dealer in this area that too about 42kms away from my home. So I fully depend on him to send his boys to pick up/drop the car from my home for all future services or any other matter related to the car.

I am still trying to negotiate and get some discount on the rate but not sure as they says the rate quoted are FORD prices.?

Thanks

+ GPS from mapmyindia
checked their website and found that they are mainly recommending
models , LX130, VX140 and DELPHI
LX130 and VX140 are manufactured by SIRF ATLAS A3 (as described by mapmyindia). The price is Rs.10990 and Rs.14490 respectively.

For Delphi - manufactured by Samsung (400 MHz) -Price Rs.14990
all are with map installed and ready to use.

Still not taken a decision (anyway I am not in a hurry)

Thanks

More and more fiesta's are on the road and under booking.
I somewhere missed the counting.

Anyone else counting (beleive the last number was 40 or ?)

Frankmehta - how about you?

I have used a similar CD case sometime back and what I found was that the CDs get scratched very early in this kind of cases. The ones with a zip where the CDs aren't exposed at all are the best.

P.S. I missed to see this post somehow and hence the delay in this response.

yes jack,

you are ABSOLUTELY right on this one. The one with a zip, kind of a box. One can also store more no. of CDs and without any dust and scratches.

the one nair has bought is very handy unlike the other one,but the Cds would be safe having been stored within zip locked pouch.

@jackthecrack:
Thanks, chances for cd scratches and dust is not there very much because there are two compartments in this folder. Open the folder, there you can keep 10cds and close the folder and in the outside another 10cds. Each cd's are going into seperate pocket so cd are not coming into direct contact with each other. Only worry is that if one has to park the car under the sun and the heat may damage the c/d quality because the sunvisor is folded along the roof of the car.
Let me see if anything happens (it is more convenient to use whilst driving the car)
Thanks

The stickers look good, I still have to decide where mine are going. Even my Zen is sticker-less!

Kumar7 Ordered for Stanley seat covers !

Meantime, I have placed order with my dealer for following accessories:

1- Alloys (SXi model) - Rs.16,500/- (for four wheels)
2- Seat cover - beige colour -Vinyl leather - Rs.10,500/-
3- Body side mouldings with chrome lining -Rs.5055/-
4- Door Scuff - Rs.1250/-

Hope to get it done middle of next week (according to them Alloys has to come from Ford, Chennai ). All Ford accessories (according to dealer) hence no discount on above rates. (tried my best but not successful).

Will update later.

Thanks

Latest on the accessories - According to the dealer, Ford dont have the SXi model Alloys ready in stock and it may take one week or more to get the new production !
Is it their usual marketing trick - to sell the old model alloys?
