UPDATE : Got Custom art leather seat covers from AUTOKRAFT a.k.a CULT in lajpat nagar 4. I had earlier ordered seatcovers from AUTOFORM but then i met this guy from AUTOKRAFT at Gyro and he showed me some designs and i liked one of them and i decided i would go for autokraft.

I had to leave the car at AUTOKRAFT from 2PM to 8PM. I also told them to get the door panels in beige and gear knob + gear skirt ??

The experience wasn't good ... why ? because ...

1. My ICE system was dismounted from the rear seats, with every mechanic acting like a pro !! They screwed it all up ...

2. Rear Door panels had screw covers missing

3. Rear Seat had missing screws + the seat lock wasn't working

4. The DOG LEG gear shifter in the getz CRDI had the spring removed and it was carelessly left on the dashboard for me to bloody figure out what to do with it!

5. The front door panels have damping so i had told them to give me the panel fittings so that i could get them fitted later on. Therefore they put a roll of seatcover cloth in the dash. While they also put a adhesive in a container and carelessly threw it in the co-drivers mat. When i reached home the car was full of ADHESIVE SMELL and the pakkypoda mat was ruined beyond recognition luckily i found it out before the adhesive could seep onto the floor cover.

6. I can't find my Tag huer specs since the seatcover day too .... Aarghh!!

7. Seatcover fitting is good.

8. The guys who open the seats are NUT JOBS and dont know anything!

9. The electrician is worse.

10. Such a shoddy job when i left my car with them and paid them Rs 7500!!! Should have gone for Autoform!

Not recommended!!!

Custom Bi-xenon Projector headlights - Getz cRDI

After suffering with the below average lighting of the getz, i thought it was time to get the custom projector setup! The lighting fx was the brainchild of a friend called pranav.

The items used were

1. BMW X3 Bixenon Projectors

2. 4300K BiXenon Hids

3. Custom made bezel (import)

4. CCFL Angel eyes (import)

5. Black and Red paint.

The whole work was completed in one day. It turned out to be a fun project. The light output is 10x better than the stock lighting. The highbeam flash is insane. Low beam has a awesome blue/purple cutoff.

Here are a few pics.

The Bi-Xenon setup looks neat aZa. Can you post some pictures of the light throw of both dip and high beams.

Also how much did they cost you and did you get any warranty.

Congrats dude! The beast has a lot more attitude now!!
Looks damn good!

After this mod, I see AZA riding at insane speeds in some poorly-lit NCR areas (which he refrained earlier with the stock candle's).

And Cheers to pranav.

This, without any doubt has to be the hottest Getz I've seen. The projector lamps give it a new identity altogether. AWESOME!!

PS - Love the rims too...

Update : The car is performing perfectly. I' have gotten the projectors with H7 HIDS fitted as FOG LAMPS.

Recently i took the car to jaipur and it was an amazing experience. I got 18Kmpl, would have gotten more had there been less traffic jams due to fog. The car was effortless on the hills. Overtaking on the highway was a breeze, the spacious and airy cabin also added to the great experience. Overall great fun.

The car has clocked 9500KMS will be taking it for the second service in a week or so.

A few pics.

Can you tell me more about the H7 setup? What make, how much, etc? I have the stock Getz Fogs on my car - will that be of use for this project, or will have to chuck them away?

@undead : thanx, and its a DIY job so you can get them made or try it out yourself.

@phoenix : Currently i'm using Sonata Projectors in my Fogs, These fit perfectly. The bulb size for the sonata projectors is H7. Does the stock fog lamps also use H7 setup ? if yes then its a direct fit. The stock fogs will have to be replaced.
