The BOLD, Red and Beautiful is here. (Punto MJD)

Hi Guys,
This review is of my friends Red Punto 1.3 Multijet Emotion Pack,he is trying for the membership but don't know why its not getting accepted mods can you please help on this..?
Anyways finally he mailed me the review, and here it goes.
Before the review some stats

Here it goes.

Being a Doctor, I was not very much technical in buying my first car but as I had driven Maruti hatchbacks and Palio 1.9, I reached to a conclusion that I should go for Punto MJD Emotion PK. It has been 3 months now and if you ask me what has been my experience, I would go on and on writing about it. You may think how can I do that with only 3 months of drive?? Well .I would say, I learnt a definition of driving and driving pleasure in these 3 months.
More in an emotional way, I just like being in Her drivers seat, than anywhere else. May be for a pleasure of being in spacious car, pleasure of top of the class steering feedback, pleasure of unmatched handling, being it good, bad or ugly roads. Pleasure of that ‘feeling of safety’ inside her as if she keeps saying “don’t worry; you all are very safe with me.”
People say I spent too much buying Her I say I got the priceless experience in return.(ABS with EBD, dual air bags, Integrated Music system, 15 inch alloys with 195/R15 rubber, Climate control, Blue and Me, My Car features, Steering mounted controls, adjustable steering and driver seat etc .list goes on and on what more you expect in 613k)
People say She doesn’t have good resale value, I say I would never think of selling Her.
People say She may not have good *** back up, I say I don’t feel she will make me visit them often. I don’t understand what big deal of good service is. Service will be good only when people go to service stations more frequently and the guys become more and more expert in service. I feel same analogy is true for Maruti ***, as I have been there in that crowd of cars and I had a good experience with those Maruti service guys, But I feel why so many cars in service station and why I need to go there again and again to experience there good nature and service. Because my car (Maruti) makes me do that and that’s not ideal I feel.
Anyways back to Her, when I took Her for long drive with friends, We were amazed by Her sheer road grip and presence, her millimeter accurate braking and steer response, her high speed stability. in fact I felt it can handle twice more power with same ease and accuracy comfortably. Even practical things like AC climate control were on the spot. In fact I feel She is one of fastest cooling car I ever drove. And most important in Indian perspective, I got around 18 kmpl including bad roads, ghat sections, traffic etc. which I felt is more economical than my old long bike rides with friends.(considering 5 passengers and diesel compared to 2 on petrol bike)
Frankly I didn’t know what to expect when I bought Her, because She was freshly launched. But, now I feel what more to expect? Also a mention about Blue & Me, which integrates your phone with Car in such a way that you will never feel like picking up your phone again and talking.

With all these goodies, there are some glitches too, like short and turbo lagged lower gears,(which you get used to after some time) weak parcel tray etc. But none of these, ever compromise your sheer joy of driving which is a primary reason you buy a car for… If it is not, then these things will bother you.
But overall once you own Her, She promises to keep a smile on you face always, not just for owning one of most beautiful looking car but for lots and lots of other reasons too. And I know what it feels lik. Happy Driving.

Nice review. You'll enjoy the drive. I've been driving a Palio for a long time now, and it's a pleasure to drive. Need I say more about FIAT's build quality/sturdiness? I'm sure the Punto would have surpassed the comfort and thrill the Palio had to offer when it first entered the Indian market.

Nice looking car but license plate steals away the charm, no offense meant just an individual opinion. Hope your friend is rewarded the membership soon.
