My New Red Chevrolet Cruze : Initial Report

Hi friends
this is my first thread in team-bhp. I came to know about cruze via this forum and finally after six months of research and what not i am posting initial report of my car. I along with my brother were planning to replace our honda city and budget was 12-15 lacs. We wanted a diesel car because we do around 2500 kms in a month. We went to see laura and jetta and while i didnt liked jetta much we liked laura and were planning to buy that but after reading so many horror stories on this forum skoda was ruled out.

Finally after seeing the car i booked it on 14th oct and got the delivery on 23rd. I had been trying to get the membership for this forum from 1 month and finally after being rejected 3 times i got the approval today. I bought the car from shiva motors Noida and dealership experience was good. I didnt had any problems regarding delivery and car was delivered in time without any problems.

I have driven the car 500kms in this time and i am in love with this car. Some people are complaing about turbo lag and it is there till 1600 rpm but i have no problems with it even in traffic. The one problem that is there is the reverse action of the clutch. It is ok when you press the clutch but when i release it after travelling halfway it comes back with force. I told this to a showroom driver when taking delivery he told me it is because the clutch is new and would soften up with time. I somehow believe him because this backforce was not in the test drive car i drove earlier. About pickup and stability i have no complains and this car is really a rocket. In 5th gear 120 comes at 1600 rpm in the so called turbo lag period this car goes till 180 real smoothly.

Now about interior space i feel leg room at the back is quite adequate bu not great. My friend is 6 feet and wears a turban had his turban touching the roof in drivers seat i am 6 feet myself but i dont have this problem as i have short hair. Features and gadgetary in this car is more than provided by competition but interior plastic quality is at best ok.

Thats all for now any queries or questions are welcome.

The interiors look a class apart. What is that small green light below the silver insert below the steering? Below the left side stalk.

Congrats on the buy . I am really surprised by looking at the photos. The color red really do justice to the looks of this car. Did you do 180KM/Hr during the run in period?

Congrats. The car is a stunner. I wish i had 12L. I would take this car. I always keep telling my friends that i would buy Civic the day they come out with a diesel variant. I loved civic for the cockpit style interiors. This car has got the same styling. The front styling is also quite aggressive.

120 / 180 in a brand new car? Pls stick to the recommended run in speed at the initial period.

Congrats dude. You got a quick delivery too.
Chevy interiors are classy.

Linea and Cruze, do they look like cousins from some angle? I am yet to see a Cruze on road.

Congrats on your cruze missile. The colour looks awesome!

Do take the patience to run it in properly, however tempting it might be to rip it.
