Thanks
Good point---I generally find my Fiesta emanating more heat than my WagonR when I put my hand near the front grill after reaching home.

@chillout---any updates on the Immobilizer? I've read my manual once again and did not find it mentioned anywhere.

Mine is 1.6 SXI . I have experienced some body roll. Is it because of the stock MRF tyres ?

Hello Nair Sir,

Over all it is an excellent write up , I have a question though ,

I have heard people say that for the car to deliver the maximum FE the RPM should be around 2-2.2K. In our Fiesta's when we keep the RPM in this range I am sure the speedo would be around 80 to 90 KMPH, any thoughts on this
Ford recommends to maintain RPM between 1500-1800 to get good fuel efficiency. Also they recommend ''Race the engine to 3000RPM
for 30 sec while driving atleast once a week. Do not race engine excessively and vary its RPM suddenly.'

Thanks

I dont think it is there in every car. At least in my Santro it does not play. May be its true for only the integrated music system.

Another feature which I was not aware of till last week is that the ORVMs can fold out also (towards the bonnet/front of the car). This is not a feature Ford advertises. But it is there.
Should you consider this as a feature or a flaw ?

Does this mean that warranty won't be void if we use alloys and upsize tyres?? They've given it just as a warning, right. Loop-hole, maybe.
+
They also in accessories business and they too need to get some money
so it is obvious that they warn about warranty voidance etc.

You can see that, they also suggests incase of tyre change- 'take the vehicle to your dealer to have engine management system programmed'?

IMO-its all depends on your dealer. You keep a friendly and healthy relation with your dealer and you get the job (where FORD is going to check your vehicle physically?)

If I am not wrong, there is a theatre dimming effect, meaning after the doors are shut with engine off, the light goes off slowly after some time.

:( 'S' got hold of 'SXI'

Apologies, now corrected the same in master txt and excel file, will upload the correct one once all the information is correct.

This has made the 'S' v/s 'SXI' competition at equal level. Now they are 14 each (though SXI has advantage as there is no 1.4 S ).

I consider this is a good feature as we have flexibility-fold as per your convenience depends on the situation - congested/narrow roads -this will help to save your mirror from damage?
