So wasn't sure if I'm being taken for a ride (this being December and all), or is it the same for manza everywhere.

Thanks!
As of now, no dealers are giving any discounts (a new car). Since the dealer was my batch mate (mentioned earlier), he gave me a gift voucher worth Rs 3000/-. The rest as mentioned on the first page were the freebies I was given.

congrats on the manza mate. enjoy you ride! she would put most D segement cars to shame with the loads of cabin space on offer. It's a good VFM car. kudos to you. Satin gold matches the car very well. nice choice of colour.

Ok, now I'm thoroughly scared and really having second thoughts about going for this car after reading these scary stories:
hxxp://www.consumercomplaints.in/bycompany/tata-motors-a13622.html
hxxp://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/tata-motors--indigo-manza-c296967.html

Should I take this leap of faith or not? :(

One of the complaints about Manza is easily explainable.
A person wanting a newly launched (best VFM) car in 13 days is ridiculous. The dealers always promise to deliver but have no idea about the production issues. So as that guy wanted it by 15th November, the dealer was forced to sell him a TD vehicle (which is wrong but the customer was desperate and was calling seniors). I booked it on the 31st of October and got the vehicle on the 25th (got it home on 4th December) even when the dealer was my batch mate. So one has to wait for atleast a month to get a Manza home.
If you are so unsure then wait for a few months before buying.
Tata *** is not as good as the Maruti ***. But they are improving and it may take them time to reach those standards.

The first link is for Tata motors complaints (A lot of them) but if you type Maruti you will come across similair number of complaints.
I am not asking you to go for a Tata product. It is you who will have to decide on the pros and cons. The only thing I can say is that this TATA product has pleased me.

Sure will. I plan to go for Art Leather seats soon.

Yes, I had and I think I was one of the first few to go for a rare color and later stick to it.

Thanks for the reassurance, but please don't get me wrong. I can clearly see that you've no ulterior motive in promoting this vehicle, but I'll be naive if I don't think of all aspects before taking an important descision like this. And that is the reason I posted those links, and also to understand if that's the norm (with so many people questioning Tata's A.S.S.), or are these exceptions.

Congrats on the new car. It looks very good, though the real colour of the car cannot be seen in the pics.

Do keep updating this thread with your experiences, it would be of great help to other aspiring Manza owners.

The complaints are against Tayal motors and not against Tata. So its not such a big leap of faith.
Get everything clear at the time of the booking and buy it from a reputed dealer.

All the best.

@rite2shree, congrats on the your buy. The best VFM package in the market today and with a really decent quality.
I have started to warm up to the Manza and petrol is what I would buy. Can you please share how it performs, does it feel underpowered.

Looking forward to your response as none of the mags have bothered reviewing the petrol Manza. I will get a test drive of the petrol manza soon but till then your comments should suffice.

Cheers

Congrats for your New Ride. I liked the front looks of Manza. Tata has really come a long way with an all new design.

Do let us know the mileage that you get.
cheers
