thats a nice color on the scorpio, though very rarely seen on the roads. Realising your dream from a WagonR, well excellent, me too in the same boat, need to realise the dream to move from a Santro.

sad to hear the antenna broke, how come the bar was at such a low height !!

Whats the LCD screen you have ? What is the dvd player you have installed ?

ICE:
HU - JVC KD-DV5506 Cost 12.5k with Bill and warranty
Speakers : Both with 1 year warranty.
Sony 6" on front doors -Coaxial Full-Range 2Way Rs.1900/-
Ultimate 6"x9" 3 way speakers in the MDH box in the rear - Rs.3250/-

LCD- Worldtech 7" with 6 months warranty Rs.3500/-

regarding the height of the bar, they probably didnt raise the bar when the relaid the road recently, and i was used to zipping thru' there in my WagonR. Now i have to stick to the Outer Ring road with all the traffic

Thanks MileCruncher.
They probably would fit on the mounts provided on the top of the rear door, but the Installer was of the opinion that the speaker wouldnt sound good as he had tried it out in a Scorpio before. So decided to go for those boxes.

Sanscorpio

Congrats Mate, caught the thread a bit late - so it is raining scorps left right and center.
Can you clarify one thing - split seats in the middle - is that an option you opt for (say in 7 seater) or do they come if and only if you take 8 seater?

Live and Let Drive - wishing you miles of happy driving.

Thanks Dude,
Split seating is a standard for both 7 and 8 seater as per the info I got from the Sales exec. But I do wish they had given the 60/40 split the other way round, i.e., the 40 split side behind the drivers seat. It would make the ingress/egress easier for the 3rd row passengers.

I guess the Xylo has a dead pedal and the same can be fitted into the Scorpio with a few modifications if required for the height and the angle for the same by putting a few washers etc where required. In fact, I too am interested in trying it out.

Thanks will check it out at 1st service or if I go to the Service center earlier.
Saved the Scorp from getting debadged in the nick of time, by a 11-12 year old kid who was trying to prise out the badge on the back in the middle of the day. And right in front of my home!!!
Scared the hell out of him by chasing him away.

Milecruncher,
Checked out the space provided on the top of the rear door, think you can only fit in a 4" speaker in there. The installer also gave a option of putting it in the cavity of the rear door, by replacing the door pad with speaker mount pad.

cheers

Update:
Got a SMS from Sireesh Motors about a free checkup camp from 29-31 Dec. 9am to 5 pm.
So had my beauty go through a check up where they sorted out the trouble of the left rear door lock not opening sometimes. Also she got a beauty bath and vacuuming.

Reverse Camera was also fitted a week back.
Upgrades to the ICE:
Sub- 600Watts Infinity
Amp- JVC 4 channel
Also Ordered those Oval shaped switches for controlling the reverse cam and the LCD from the ***.
