But whats your take on the whole 'Tomato Red' turning 'Orange' theory ?
Do you subscribe to it...do you approve of the shade change and finally do you like it ?

photoshop to the rescue!
On a serious note, I would really like to see the inconsistency of the red colour on the Punto. Please help!

If you've read the first post in my Polo ownership thread, this is precisely what I mentioned while talking about the "look" factor. The Polo's red is a shade deeper and certainly more vivid than the Fiat red.
The red on the GP looks great in the twilight or under street lights but during the day, that can quickly change to orange if the car isn't clean enough or the photographer gets the angles wrong. It's not "orange" orange but the slight hint of dust can make a perceptible difference. Hey, that's why I clean my car every single day to keep it looking red.
I will agree that the color does have some changing shades of personality but that's probably what adds to the allure. I'd say that the GP is one of the very, very few cars sold in India that doesn't look crappy in red.

As they say, God only helps those who help themselves. Photoshop can't do a thing if the camera itself takes horrendous photographs.

Edit: Would a dual exhaust tip (like on the Bimmer 3 series) on the GP look out of place? I'm heading over to a distributor tomorrow to check out some Magnaflows and will see what's available.

Yep, the owner of a famous hotel on CP circle was throwing a dinner bash and I couldn't afford to miss it. Opportunities for business and networking shouldn't be missed.

Gurgaon is where most of my business contacts and associates live so I'm usually in one of the buildings between the DLF towers and Sushant Lok at least once every day. I even have an HR plate on my GP (don't ask how).

Will PM you shortly.

No comments. YGPM.

Posting this again as my earlier request probably got submerged under a barrage of discussions on the color of the car:
"Anyone interested in clicking some nice photographs of my GP?"

Cheers.

lol man you have no idea what you're getting yourself into.

Been doing a bit of research on mufflers for the GP. Could anyone take the time to visit this page and suggest what would look best on the GP:
MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust

Thanks.

One my query got lost in the color discussion as well. Respond to it when you get time.

About the mufflers, I liked 14861 & 14814.

Thanks for the help. 14861 is what I was thinking of as well.

As for your questions:
I'm getting an import piece.
1. Nope, it's a complete replacement kit.
2. HID ballast kit from Philips
3. The daytime LEDs included in the headlamps work exactly like on the Audis. The current installation of the LED strip needs to be manually turned on or off but is independent of the headlamps.
4. Not sure about that. Will have to check up.

Completely agree that the only colors that make the Punto stand out are blue, red and white.

Thanks a lot for the reply.
Do post photographs when you install the headlamps.

Morning dose of Tbhp..looks like fellow Bhp-ians started early today.

Well, I'm curious are you looking to modify your rear bumper for these ? (coz the standard OE is nicely tucked inside)

14816/14833 /14861 for me...wouldn't something rectangular (double walled and rounded at the corners) at the two ends of the bumper, look nice?

Some more food for thought.. err modding, some bit of chrome on the rear!
