A couple of shots of the car in broad daylight for anyone interested in the red vs orange debate:

Yes, the orange in the LED strip looks a bit awkward but I'll take care of that later this week with some maskers. I even bought some silver bulbs to remove that "fried egg" look of the yellow turn indicators in the front headlamp clusters.

I can even post the original, non re-sized snaps if anyone's interested.

Like i have said before, as far as the photos go, IMHO its all in the way you take them.. photographs, the angles and editing ! You've been kind to Red lady, I doubt if such close shots would reveal the 'orang-ish' nature in full. Also I think, it would change colour more drastically, if left outside under the sun for a good couple of hrs post noon. Colour change could be a function of temperature as well i.e. along with Ambient lighting.

You're 100% Spot on.. when you say that, the one I noticed at the Dealership had a good thick layer of dust on it and it looked better when cleaned with a hand duster.

Need some suggestions here guys. Would the tinted tail lights as seen on the car to the left look better than the default lights on the GP as seen on the right?

Nice pics there, SumitBahl.

On a red car i think the tinted tail lights would look better. The exhaust on the car is also awesome. Isn't that the abarth punto..?

I would agree with that. Simply because the lights would contrast with the red colour, that along with blacked out grill, perfect!

I am bit confused. Both tail lights are looking good in their own way. Smoked lights might look better on red.
You planning on smoking them?

The one in the picture, does not seem properly smoked.

Tinted glass and smoked lamp covers will surely look good.
But have you seen those wheels?
OMG! Those look killer, please put something similar.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've found a smoked pair of tail lights at one of the shops around here and will probably buy that very soon.

I'm getting a similar kind of exhaust set up as well. That's not an actual Abarth Punto but a regular GP made to look like one (debadged exterior, smoked tails, Abarth badge, dual exhaust etc.)

Blacked out grille? I'm not too sure about that. Perhaps a quick photochop should help me out here.

Not smoking them with a film from the outside but buying a set of tail lamps with smoked casings.
Actually, I was thinking about going for a similar level of "darkness". The ones that are totally black might cause problems in India, given that most people out here aren't really attentive while driving so insurance payout might be a problem if someone slams into my rear end and claims that they couldn't see the brake lights.

What wheels? The flat black or the silver ones? Neither look particularly appealing (IMHO) and that wheel size is just begging to get scraped and dented out here in India.

How much are you getting them from?
And, more importantly, where do you find shops that stock punto accessories?
I have been looking for remote operated central locking for a month now, not found one that is specifically made for punto.

You are right about the wheel size. Anything above 15 in punto, in Indian conditions is not worth it.

I agree to that
+1
Everythings possible in India, and when it comes to passing the blame, we are what you call real experts

I'm talking about the flat black ones, the silver ones are not particularly to my liking.
They look amazing to me!
Yes, denting might be an issue with so many potholes all over, but whatever you get, please get a deep dish.
Those look awesome!

Anywhere from 5k-8k depending on the quality and level of darkness.

There are a couple of guys in and around Delhi who know other guys that can source these parts and they even stock specialist catalogs for these mod-friendly cars. They won't sell one to you right away but the lead time for sourcing one is just a couple of days to a week, rather than waiting for many weeks or even months to get something delivered from Europe/US/Taiwan etc. I believe there are a couple of Punto owners in NCR who are also going down the same modding route so my guy has a stock of multiple orders right now.

I can PM some contacts if you're in Delhi.

Central locking doesn't seem to be available at the moment, neither are gear locks. I've already talked to some guys at Autocop and they said something should be available very soon.

I am in Chandigarh (3-4 hrs drive to Delhi).
I am planning to come down to Delhi for a couple of days to check the options.
I will get the contacts from you, when I finalize my trip.

How about something with a red lip, something like this:

Alloys aren't at the top of my mod list right now. Rather I'm playing around with small changes that when combined should make my GP one of a kind, at least in Delhi.

@SumitBahl:
Be sure to get your cam when you come down. I want some nice pics of my GP too!
