Congrats on the new car. The front look is awesome, one mean looking machine. Wishing you a lot of miles with the car. Do keep updating the thread.

Its KENWOOD DDX5032..resolution is pretty good.As an OEM fitment I would say the Player is nice. However if one is planning to get one after market..there are a lot better options available..Especially kenwood has lost its position n the market..Not really a recommended brand anymore

I wanted to know if the GPS in the Kenwood has an external antenna? I'm seriously considering getting one for my Scorpio. The thing is I am also planning to go for sunfilm on the windsheild. I've heard doing this interferes with satelite detection/reception. So.....

If you go for a Ceramic sunfilm (Huper Optik), there would be no interference with your mobile communication systems.

Sunfilming on the Windscreen should not really create obstacles to the Satellite communication. However I would not really recommend you to use a Dark Shade film on the windscreen. It really causes difficult to drive on highways during night.
go for a regular transparent Antiglare film on the windscreen.

No external antenna is required for the GPS.The blackbox comes with a Built-in Antenna.

Yes indeed you can.there is option for such configurations in the kenwood player where you want to Turn ON/Off Music when navigating on Maps. Also you can adjust the volume level for the Navigation or set it to work for only front/rear speakers or both. This option is really convenient so that you don't miss out on any voice based directions when listening to music on high volumes

You can even change songs while being on the Navigation Screen with the help of a small bar displayed at the bottom of d screen like windows Task bar

Cedizen,

Do you know if Mitsu sells the HU (along with the GPS receiver) in the after market? And at what price? I checked with Kenwood dealers in Bangalore and they are not aware of the GPS receiver.

After the price adjustments and a litlle thrust on marketing the car, Cedia is selling in a few numbers. A little curious to know the fate of the car. When is the new Lancer coming in and will the Cedia still sell along side?
Wonder would be the impact on spares and maintenance costs for the owners?
