I have touched 90kmph on my Nano. The person who drove it to mumbai for me touched 105 on the expressway. I am not happy on this since the sticker on the windscreen clearly says do not exceed speeds during the running in period upto 2000kms.
My Nano has done just 700kms in nearly 2 months. Am very Happy with her though! Have not faced knocking problems on my car, maybe Tata;s have changed the timing to get a better average, mine has given 20+ on highway and 18+ in city till now.

Congrats jasher! The Nano is the star at the moment and you'll enjoy that whereas you'd never get that in a Ritz.

One important piece of clarification. We have read that Tata will be making some changes like provision for opening the rear which was earlier not present and some tuning changes to the engine. Has it been incorporated in your Nano. If not have you checked with the Tata Guys about it.

When Tata do that, you can be sure they'll advertise it. And sidindica will report it

Hi Jasher,

Congratulations. So it is 2l plus. Some one told that it(top end) is 1.8. It is fine for that price like a scooty or bike. Please check your fuel economy and post. Please keep on posting of the performance.

It's 1.8 + tax + octroi + insurance + RTO registration = 2.09.

Not engine, but the steering wheel area caught fire. And yes, this issue was rectified by Tata a couple of months ago IIRC.

Thanks for the information. What was the reason for the fire?
