Congrats on your Accent and you've also got good writing skills. Did you manage to get any discounts? And what about ICE? Waiting for your pics.

Since it was the middle of the calender year there were no offers atleast that I was aware of. I told the dealer I dont want any discount if he gives free insurance and I will get him many many buyers for the i10. The sales guy was totally in shock the way I booked my car so nonchalantly and thankfully all those shopping experiences at the national market (bangalore's negotiating skill playground ) got me the following

1. Corporate discount of 5k
2. Panasonic audio system (which I exchanged for 4k cash)
3. All mats including the one for the boot
4. 3M sunfilm

The ICE I got installed is Pioneer 4190sd audio system with JBL 6 inch speakers (GTO93x series) for both front and rear. Thankfully the wiring was preloaded by the manufacturer although the install took almost 5 hours even without any plank work to be done (blame the slow and not so steady installer!!)

Congrats mate!

Eager to see the pics... don;t see many black accents on the road.

Do you think you should have bought it in red?

Thank you vasanth. Pictures will be uploaded tomorrow as my laptop is failing to switch on! Frankly, I dont like the red that comes with the executive, cute but just not my style. IMHO, the red on the getz is by far the best red I've seen on a car. The second in line is the viva red. Black was actually a second choice but is slowly becoming my favorite color

Good selection finally. No doubt, accent is a good car and better style than Swift.
And ofcourse a Sedan will give a different look and comfortability.

I think you can post some photographs of your new asset?

Cheers !

Nice Write up and a great looking car with lot of sheen.

Your budget permitting, get her some alloys. You'll be surpised by the way it changes the look of the car.

Thank you. Right now all my budget allocation has gone off towards a cure for my guitar acquisition syndrome and loads of petrol. I guess the alloys will come when its time for a tyre change

Congrats mate . You have a different way of narration. Liked it.
Ive been driving Accent for 3 years now and its still gives a smile driving between signal to signal. Absolute VFM car..

EDIT: Isn't this executive? I could not find the badge. Have you taken it off?

Yeah, its a lovely car albeit a bit more petrol than the balenos and the sx4s. The executive badge was ripped off somewhere and I noticed it on a sunday morning. The previous day I had been to a million places so couldn't make out where I lost it. . But thankfully the person who has taken it off has not left any scratches although I wonder who would want that badge!

Thank you. Someone please suggest a nice place to get the paint touchup done in bangalore though, there is a small scratch on the bumper too!

And ya, here is the picture of the boot with 3 guitars, 1 bass guitar, one amplifier, one boss gt8 processor and some sweatshirts and ties underneath them Swift---------->Accent. My funny story.-accentbootloaded.jpg Everytime I look at this picture I give out a smile knowing I made the best choice I could.
