Hmmm interesting read. Nice to discover a new thing...though it is actually not a new thing after all. Thanks for pointing to the thread.

dog ****!!

While going to my native on Wednesday night an unlucky dog tried to test its luck by trying to cross the road. Before i couldnt do anything it hit somewer on the front bumper. Decided not to stop and check since the area was pitch dark and i was only arpund 2-3 kms from my home. Checked the bumper and right side , couldn't see any scratches or dents except some dog **** on the right side of bumper and front right tyre. Washed that shot away then itself and i hope that dog died . Oterwise it would have to suffer a lot of pain

P.S. Odo nears 9000Kms now

Unlucky dog.

By the way, its a little surprising that the bumper has been damaged. Does it have to do something with the build quality or sheer luck?

nkrishna, it is definitely the build quality. An accent came and banged my punto on the back. It could have been hit when I was stand still and accent at about 15~20km/hr. The bumper dislocated from the original position. However, the FIAT service was able to just push it inside again to lock itself. Now there is no traces of a hit on the bumper except minor removal of paint.

Even my PUNTO got hit by a speeding auto from behind. There was a big dent in the area below the lights. Small scratches in the metal area and the bumper. The auto got severely damaged, the right side of the bulging area got completely dented.

This happened on the fifth day after i took delivery of the car

but makes me feel that this car is well built.

10000!!!

Crossed the 10k kms mark today . There is a squeak coming from under the driver seat which is really irritating and too lazy to take it to the dealer . Some minor scratches here and there...

In another update did Garware Icecool Shield front windsreen film. There is indeed a noticeable improvement in cooling now. Will upload some snaps soon

Soccerfan , How much did Icecool Shield front windsreen film cost you including installation charges? Is there any visibility issues while driving at night specially in unlit areas?

Nice write up. Incidentally I test drove the Punto Diesel Emotion Pack yesterday. It had done 10,300 kms. Though not fast, but I found it a nice point A to B car. Maybe the Pete's box would help.

May buy it if I get a decent price for the Swift. It was also the Grey that you have, looks nice !!!

Happy motoring !!!

Cheers
